Manchester City's new manager Pep Guardiola will miss his Bayern Munich players as he departs a German Cup winner

Incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says he will miss the Bayern Munich players when he departs for England.

The Spaniard lifted the German Cup final in his game in charge at the Allianz Arena, adding to his third consecutive Bundesliga title, as Bayern beat Borussia Dortmund on penalties at the Olympiastadion.

It was Guardiola's seventh title in three seasons in Germany but he insists the bond he forms with his players is more important than the medals on his mantelpiece.

'It's been a great experience to work with this club every day, but above all with these players.

'I'll miss them. I worked every day with them -- 24 hours a day with these players.
