Titled Aquarim Trinity the design for the underwater paradise allows different species of marine life to thrive at varying ocean depths which can then be distributed to problem areas in the ocean. A black timber wolf has been captured launching a brutal attack on a smaller grey wolf in the Bad Mergentheim Wildlife Park in northern Bavaria, Germany. Photographer Ingo Gerlach, 63, snapped the display of dominance from the safety of a security fence. 'In early summer, and especially before feeding, the wolves are extremely active and fights for status are common,' he said. But the smaller grey wolf knew this was one fight he wasn't going to win and soon 'rolled onto his back and waved his tail'.

Octopus is flung through the air as it battles for its life with a seal 

An incredible set of pictures show an intense battle between a seal and octopus - in which the octopus is flung through the air. The seal spotted the octopus and decided it would make a tasty snack, so went in for the kill. But the octopus tried desperately to wriggle itself free from the seal's mouth. The South African Fur seal eventually got the better of the smaller creature by using the surface of the water as a weapon. The spectacular sequence of photos were taken by wildlife photographer Wim van den Heever at False Bay in Cape Town.
