She has always appreciated the power of a statement gown.

And Rachel Stevens stayed true to her aesthetic as she oozed opulence in a scarlet strapless creation at the Caudwell Children's Butterfly Ball at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on Wednesday.

The 38-year-old host of the night had some stiff competition from The Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack, 26, who looked fresh and youthful in a zingy orange number.

The former S Club 7 singer bared her shoulders in the strapless number which featured an asymmetric jagged neckline.

The garment, which hugged Rachel's enviably slim physique, also featured a gold band to cinch in her trim waist.

The mother-of-two kept her styling equally glamorous, wearing her ombre-hued hair in loose waves that framed her face.
