'Cruzing around London': Rebel Wilson plays the tourist in the UK taking a selfie in front of Big Ben following her appearance on The Graham Norton Show

She's been riding a wave of success in Hollywood with a string of hit films and is keeping busy with plenty more in the pipeline.

But Rebel Wilson ensured she made time for both work and play while in London on a recent trip.

The 36-year-old shared a selfie with her 3.3million Instagram followers on Friday, posing in front of Parliament.

She is sporting a laid-back look for her day of sightseeing, covering up in a bright pink baseball cap, and donning a pair of black cat-eye sunglasses with gold detail.

The Australian comedienne's blonde tresses are covered up by the cap and pulled back into a wavy ponytail, while she appears to be sporting minimal make-up.

She appears to be standing along the River Thames, and the iconic Big Ben is visible in her classic tourist shot.

And she has captioned her snap: 'Cruzing around London this afternoon...trying to get some sun x'.

The Pitch Perfect star appeared on The Graham Norton Show while in London, alongside Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley, Iggy Pop and Josh Homme.

She also uploaded a snap of her and Jennifer Saunders, both glowing and looking glamorous ahead of the show.

After revealing she was a 'huge' fan of the BBC comedy, she is set to appear in the forthcoming British comedy Absolutely Fabulous, alongside the original stars Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley.

Speaking to The Daily Mirror, Rebel said landing a cameo role in the upcoming flick was something she wanted and opened up about how she 'begged' to be considered by creator Jennifer Saunders.

Rebel told the UK publication: 'I got to meet (Jennifer Saunders) last year in London and I cried when I met her! She’s every bit as amazing as I thought.'

The Pitch Perfect star also revealed she was able to get an 'in' with Jennifer through her former LA roommate, Little Britain star Matt Lucas, 41.

After telling her Bridesmaids co-star she was a 'big fan' of the 57-year-old, Matt gave Rebel her email address.

'I emailed her and said, "If you need me for anything I’ll be there." I full out got down on my knees and begged. There’s no level to which I wouldn't have gone to!' she laughed.

Her approach paid off - and Rebel eventually shot a day's worth of 'funny' cameo material for the film back in November.

'I was on it for just the day but to be in the same breathing space as Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, it was a dream come true,' she concluded.

Rebel joins an exhaustive list of stars who have cameo appearances in the film including Joan Collins, Jon Hamm, Dame Edna Everage, Lulu, Jerry Hall, Stella McCartney and Alesha Dixon.
