'He is a huge support!' Chloe Moretz praises boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham for helping her to celebrate her own beauty, as she reveals the love-up pair wear each other's cologne

  • Although the 19-year-old said she doesn't 'need a man for anything', Chloe noted it is nice that her 17-year-old beau can 'look at a woman that way'
  • The Neighbors 2 star also noted that Brooklyn tells her that he prefers in sweatpants over her glamorous red carpet looks

As a proud feminist Chloe Grace Moretz knows she doesn't 'need a man for anything', but the 19-year-old actress can't help but gush about how supportive her boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham is.

The Neighbors 2 revealed during the Coach and Friends Of The High Line Summer Party in New York City on Wednesday night that her 17-year-old beau is the perfect person to cheer her up whenever she is plagued with bouts of insecurity.

'My boyfriend is a huge support,' she told Elle.com. 'I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't need a man for anything, but when I'm feeling bad about myself, he's like, "Stop. Look at what you say in interviews. Look at what you stand for. Listen to your own words, because you're as beautiful as you say you are!'

Chloe went on to say that Brooklyn believes 'women are more beautiful than they think' and he often tells her that he likes her more in sweatpants than when he does when she is all dolled up for a red carpet.

'It's nice to have a young man who's 17 years old be able to look at a woman that way,' she added. 'I think it means we're on the right track.'

After months of speculation, Chloe confirmed that she was dating David and Victoria Beckham's eldest son during an episode of Watch What Happens Live last month.

Chloe and Brooklyn are now regular fixtures on each other's Instagram pages, and the two are so in sync that Chloe said they even use each other's cologne.

Go hell for leather in a mini skirt like Chloe's

The fash pack turned up in full force for the Coach High Line Summer Party in New York this week.

Amongst them was Chloe Moretz who donned a head-to-look from the brand, wearing a leather skirt teamed with a printed blouse from the Resort 2017 collection.

Leather skirts have become somewhat of a modern classic, well deserving of a place (or three!) in every woman’s wardrobe.

We love this high waisted quilted one with buckle and key chain detailing. Sadly it’s not available to buy yet, but follow the link on the right to shop the current collection.

Or alternatively recreate the look with one of the picks from New Look, Topshop, Missguided and Warehouse.

Style with a simple T-shirt and biker boots for a relaxed off-duty look, or wear with heels and a cami for a night out!

'He'll wear my female version; I'll wear his male version,' she explained.

As a 19-year-old advocate for women's rights, Chloe appears to be confident and accepting of who she is, but she noted that she hasn't always been so self-assured, particularly when it came to her appearance.

'When I was 16. I wanted a boob job,' she admitted. 'I wanted the fat pad under my chin to be removed. I wanted a butt reduction, or whatever.'

However, Chloe's mom Teri insisted that she was not allowed to have plastic surgery, which she said helped her to find 'a lot of power' within her insecurities.

The blonde beauty said that she now makes it a point to try and avoid editing her social media photos or wearing a ton of make-up in the snapshots she posts because she wants to others to know that you're not 'just "born" like this'.

'Yes, I have had hair extensions. Yes, the reason I have this body is because I work out seven times a week,' she explained. 'Yes, I eat really clean — even though I don't always want to, and I definitely cheat. But you're not just born with this.'

The avid Hillary Clinton supporter attended the Democratic presidential nominee's fundraiser in Brooklyn earlier this month where she said they discussed female empowerment.

Chloe insists that so many girls are afraid to be who they want to be because of the 'underlying deep rooted sexism' in America, noting that is the 'kind you can see coming out in the Trump campaign'.

And while feminism is extremely important to her, Chloe said her biggest issue as a young person is the educational system.

Although she has far more money in her bank account than most students, Chloe said that when she turned 18, she couldn't justify spending her hard-earned money on college — only to spend the next 15 years paying it back.

'It should be free. You shouldn't have to buy education,' she argued.

During her appearance at the Coach event last night, Chloe donned a short-sleeved patterned blouse tucked into a leather mini-skirt.

The If I Stay star accessorized the look with some sky-high heels, and taking inspiration from the punk feel of her skirt, the teen wore hair in a half up, half down 'do that was teased to look a bit like a mowhawk.
