- He posted his claims on Instagram today and was backed by thousands
Jamie Oliver today claimed he would quit Britain if Boris Johnson becomes Prime Minister after leading Vote Leave to a shock Brexit win.
The TV chef said he could cope with making the best of a bad situation after Britain backed Leave when he thought Remain was the right choice.
But in an angry Instagram post, Oliver warned he could not live with 'Boris f****** Johnson' seizing No 10 on the back of the result.
Jamie Oliver today made an angry Instagram post, insisting while he could accept a Brexit result he would be 'out' of Britain if Boris Johnson becomes PM
Oliver made his claims as he reflected on two years of filming around the world, studying the culinary habits of parts of the world where people live longest and happiest.
He said: 'And now I finish my journey on the beautiful island of Sardinia, where at the end of the day's filming, as the sun set - I looked back and saw the European flag.
'For me.. symbolic and very sad. But in life you don't always get what you want. So guys, whether you voted In or Out, we are where we are.
'But at some point soon we all need to come back together and make the best of what will be a very bumpy 5 years.'
Oliver said the referendum had 'fractured Europe, divided families and split the country' but that 'Britain has spoken'.
He promised: 'In my own way I will now roll up my sleeves and work harder than ever to make this work.
'But I beg you one thing Great Britain. Give me Boris f****** Johnson as our Prime Minister and I'm done.
'I'm out. My faith in us will be broken forever.
'So speak up people - let's stop being spectators! We can not let this happen- share the s*** out of this.'
Oliver said his faith in Britain would be 'broken forever' if the Tory party imposed Boris on the country as PM

In the space of 48 hours the Smile singer, 31, went from encouraging fans to vote in favour of Britain staying in the EU to posting on Twitter: 'I'm now quite excited about #Brexit'.
Her change of stance sparked immediate criticism, with users of the social media site telling her: 'You've changed your tune from yesterday'.
In Allen's post to her 5.85million Twitter followers on Saturday she wrote: 'Never thought I'd say this, possibly because project fear worked on me.
'I'm now quite excited about #Brexit and shift on political climate.'
After receiving a backlash from fans, the Londoner defended her position in a couple of follow-up tweets.
'I'm not saying I wouldn't be happy if we'd remained, not at all,' Allen said.
'But if in time it levels the playing field and helps to narrow the gap between rich and poor, that can be no bad thing.
'The people have spoken, some for good reason. I stand by them.'
In response to the many who said she should 'stick to music', Allen tweeted: 'I didn't say I'd swapped sides.'
