It is hard to believe that eight months ago his family were rushing to his bedside to say their final goodbyes.

On Sunday Lamar Odom was nothing short of a walking - and roller coaster riding - miracle as he visited Disneyland.

The 36-year-old managed to take on both the original park and Californian Adventure in Anaheim with his two children Destiny, 17, and Lamar Jr., 14.

While the sports star remains in recovery after a near fatal overdose left him with brain damage, the star could not have look happier as he and his children as well as friend and his family enjoyed the park.

Lamar made sure to join his two children - whom he shares with ex Liza Morales - on as many rides as possible.

But it was not his injuries holding him back but his size, with the six-foot-10 star struggling to even fit on most of the rides.

To join Destiny and Lamar Jr. on the classic Matterhorn coaster, the star had to nearly fold himself in two to get into the carriage.

When the family decided to take on the Big Thunder Railroad ride, Lamar had to sit by himself but seemed to be having blast smiling away as his daughter threw her hands up in the air.

A number of fans spotted the former Laker at the park and he even agreed to pose up for snaps when approached by some.

Lamar's outing comes as his ex Khloe Kardashian appears to be distancing herself from him, despite being by his side since he was left in a coma following an overdose last year.

According to People the estranged pair - who refiled for divorce in May - are not talking.

A source told the magazine: 'It was her decision. The times she went to see him recently, he was pretty messed up.

'She's sick of it. She feels like she's done everything she can and it's just ridiculous at this point.'
