Matt LeBlanc 'dating Top Gear producer Aurora Mulligan' as pair are spotted at the races...three months after pretty brunette played the bride in show stunt

Top Gear presenter Matt LeBlanc, 48, is reportedly in a relationship with one of the BBC show's executive producers.

The former Friends star was spotted with Aurora Mulligan, 31, at the Hickstead Derby on Saturday.

Onlookers at the West Sussex event said the pair looked 'besotted', with sources telling The Sun that their working relationship has developed into a romance over the past few weeks.

An onlooker at Saturday's derby event has told The Sun of Matt and Aurora: 'They were tactile and Matt seemed to be very taken with Aurora. She just kept laughing at all of his jokes.'

Aurora played a bride for one of the BBC show's biggest stunts in its revamped series, which saw Matt and co-presenter Chris Evans crashing a mock wedding at St Paul's Cathedral in central London back in March.

The Top Gear star and his producer were previously spotted at London’s Royal Garden Hotel in May, meeting up after Matt had had spent the evening seeing his ex Friends co-star Matthew Perry in his play, The End of Longing.

A representative for Matt, who divorced model Melissa McKnight in 2006, told The Sun at the time that Matt and Aurora had 'a strictly work relationship.'

But now a source close to Top Gear has claimed: 'This has become a romance. Matt spends more time with Aurora than anyone else in the crew and there's definitely a blossoming relationship there.'

A representative for Matt has been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

The insider adds that the pair's close relationship is proof of how popular the US star is with the Top Gear crew, following reports over the weekend of a frosty atmosphere on set between host Chris Evans and the rest of the team.

Reports suggest that the former Friends actor is becoming increasingly frustrated with how rude his co-presenter Chris is with the staff on set and has told producers that they can no longer work together.

The revelations are said to have rocked the BBC and could leave them having to pick between the pair, with filming for the second series due to start in September.

A show source told The Sun: 'The big question now is who goes and who stays.'

A BBC spokesman and a spokesman for Evans, 50, declined to comment on the reports.

But a spokeswoman for LeBlanc denied the claims, telling MailOnline that there has been 'no discussion'.

Despite the rumours, good news emerged in the revelation that the Top Gear audience grew for the first time since the new series began, with an average of 2.7 million people tuning in to Sunday’s episode.

The show saw an improvement on the 2.3 million who tuned in last week. Sunday’s episode, which featured guests Jennifer Saunders and Paul Hollywood, peaked with 3 million viewers.

It debuted to 4.4 million viewers on May 29, but plummeted to 2.8 million in the second outing, 2.4 million in the third and 2.3 million last week.

The show has failed to reach the viewing figures of the last series with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, with the popular trio bowing out with 5.8 million viewers.
