Pack up your troubles... Coleen Rooney is pictured leaving her hotel in Nice following England's humiliating exit from Euro 2016

It was only a week ago that she hired a tour bus to take her family to the European Championships in France.

But Coleen Rooney was packing her bags on Tuesday as she left Nice following England's embarrassing defeat to Iceland on Monday night and their subsequent exit from Euro 2016.

The 30-year-old prepared to head home, wearing a casual T-shirt and shorts ensemble, after watching husband Wayne score England's only goal the previous night.

The mother-of-three made the most of her last moments in the French sunshine in the super-short denim cut-offs, which she wore in a flattering indigo shade.

And she kept things simple with a form-fitting charcoal top that subtly showed off her ample assets.

Rounding off her laid back style, Coleen slipped on a pair of casual grey espadrilles, which contrasted perfectly against her sun-kissed glow.

However, although she had opted for a simple style, Coleen couldn't resist accessorising as she toted three bags across her body.

She also stuck to her WAG roots as she added a touch of sparkle with a gold-studded belt and thick wrist-watch.

Looking effortlessly beautiful, Coleen scraped back her brunette tresses into a loose ponytail, which exposed her pretty features.

And she went makeup free as she sported a luxuriously dewy glow.

England's failed footballers also packed up and started their journey home from France on Tuesday after the country's most humiliating defeat in its history made them a worldwide laughing stock.

Roy Hodgson resigned minutes after an abject England crashed out of Euro 2016 last night – humbled by tiny Iceland, the lowest ranked team left in the competition with a population of just 332,000.

The team's 'lucky' lion mascot Leo, previously carried by the player who had the worst day, was shoved under suitcases and then tossed into a lorry outside their Nice hotel after a showing legend Alan Shearer called 'the worst performance from an England team, ever'.

The players looked tired as they trudged out of their beach-side hotel this morning as they prepared to fly back to the UK, but refused to stop to speak to fans waiting outside as they boarded the team coach.

Hodgson, who was paid £3.5million a year, and his multi-millionaire ‘Three Lions’ side were beaten 2-1 in a new low for the national team in a major tournament.  The players were barracked by fans from the stands after paying a fortune to watch the team perform so badly in a major tournament.

The manager had quit immediately after the match in Nice, France, and said afterwards: 'I'm sorry it will have to end this way but these things happen'.

England had taken a fourth-minute lead from a Wayne Rooney penalty, but held that advantage for little over a minute as defender Ragnar Sigurdsson equalised for Iceland.

Only 12 minutes later England were behind after goalkeeper Joe Hart – at fault for Gareth Bale’s goal for Wales earlier in the tournament – failed to keep out a shot from striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson in the 18th minute.

But as the game went on England failed to cope with the pressure and Iceland looked the more likely to score before Hodgson's men crashed out.

England’s players were booed off at the end of the match, with Rooney’s six-year-old son Kai looking on dejectedly. Players Dele Alli, Jamie Vardy and other players were comforted by their wives and girlfriends in the stands.

STRESSED, WAYNE? ENGLAND CAPTAIN LOOKS LIKE HIS HAIR HAS FALLEN OUT OVERNIGHT AFTER EURO EXIT

The stress of last night's horrendous England defeat left fans tearing their hair out but it appears it may have made Wayne Rooney's fall out completely.

The England captain appeared to have a full head of hair at kick off last night but just 12 hours later he walked out of the team hotel in Nice with several noticeable gaps in his hairline.

A hair expert today told MailOnline that Rooney, 30, who is said to have spent more than £30,000 on various transplants, may use a spray pre-match to make his hair look fuller for the cameras.

The Manchester United and England captain first invested in the hair transplant at a London clinic in 2011, when he was just 25.

The type of transplant the millionaire has chosen in the past is called follicular transfer.

Some 30,000 men are said to have had been inspired to have the same treatment as Wayne, especially as some treatments can be done in a lunch break.

During the surgery, hairs are transplanted from donor areas – usually at the lower back of the head – and then replanted in affected areas.

Rooney invested in the huge sum for a hair transplant at a central London clinic five years ago, having the treatment for his receding hairline at the Queen Anne Street Medical Centre in central London.

In the days following the operation, Rooney told his Twitter followers: 'Just to confirm…I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25 why not. I'm delighted with the result.'

At the time, his wife Coleen insisted she had not been responsible for his decision.

His wife, Coleen, tweeted: 'Hiya!! Yes waynes had his hair done! His own decision not me asking him, like alot are saying!! Pleased for him and it will look great x'.

Hair transplant surgeon Asim Shahmalak from Crown Clinic in Manchester said today that 30-year-old Wayne Rooney would need two further hair transplants to cover the balding areas in his mid-scalp and around his crown.

Dr Shahmalak, a hair loss expert on the Channel 4 medical show Embarrassing Bodies, said: 'Wayne clearly needs further work towards the back of his scalp, so that he has an even covering of hair right across his scalp. He still has a good covering of donor hair around the back and sides of his scalp which can be moved to the top of the head so these problems can be rectified.'

Dr Shahmalak, who has conducted hair transplants on a number of celebrities including Calum Best and ex-Liverpool and Newcastle United footballer Didi Hamann, said that Rooney had been using hair thickener to cover up his male pattern baldness during the European Championship.

He said: 'Wayne is a good advert for hair thickeners. He looks great when he is wearing it when he is playing, but the problem with these products is that they come out when you shampoo your hair. So if you don't wear them all the time, you can end up with pictures like these showing very different sides to your hair loss.

'I guess after the result last night Wayne had more important things to worry about than his thinning hair.'

During his surgery, hairs are transplanted from donor areas – usually at the lower back of the head – and then replanted in affected areas.

According to the clinic, the treatment is a 'major advance over older hair transplantation procedures that used larger grafts' and often produced an 'unnatural look'.

The first step is follicular unit extraction where - under local anaesthetic - follicles are plucked from the donor area by a surgeon using a small punch.

The second step is follicular implantation. The surgeon uses a needle to puncture the sites for implanting the grafts, creating micro-holes with a pre-determined pattern.

The density and angle of the hairs are designed to give a realistic hair pattern. The grafts are then inserted into these incisions.
