Down to six! JoJo Fletcher narrows the field on The Bachelorette as Jordan Rodgers and James Taylor squabble over her affection

Jordan Rodgers got into a tiff with singer songwriter James Taylor on Monday's episode of The Bachelorette after James told JoJo Fletcher that Jordan was 'entitled' and bossy.

James had pulled JoJo aside and complained about the way the former American football quarterback had acted during a poker game.

'Jordan Rodgers means ''I'm pretty much a celebrity and people are going to listen to me because I have a billion watt smile''…' said the 29-year-old Texan.

'He is the ultimate source of wisdom,' James told her.

'Maybe there's a side of Jordan I don't know, and that worries me,' JoJo mused before immediately confronting Jordan.

The sportsman, who is the brother of NFL star Aaron Rodgers, was shocked that his 'friend' would throw him under the bus.

'Entitled, I don't know what that means…I'm not entitled,' said the Californian, who then became frosty and irritated with James.

'It's pathetic,' he told him.

'It's really f***ed up, I am not OK with that,' he griped later.

Earlier in the show Texan war veteran Luke Pell, 31, trumped the others during a group date and salesman Chase McNary was triumphant after a two-on-one date with banker Derek Peth.

Dark horse Wells Adams, a slim 6'0' radio DJ, was also sent home.

Wells had just scored his first one-on-one date with JoJo - in the picturesque town of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

'I'm the only one here who hasn't kissed her yet,' admitted the 31-year-old, who was 'extremely nervous' before the outing.

They perused a market then headed to the Fuerza Bruta (brute force) art show.

As they slid about in the theatre's suspended pool he finally made his move.

'That was the moment Wells!' she screamed enthusiastically.

Over dinner she insisted on hearing about his last girlfriend, who he was with for four years.

His 'skeptical' attitude about long term passion perturbed her and he didn't receive a rose.

'You deserve to find true love, and I hope that you find it,' said the Nashville native as he wiped away tears while saying goodbye to JoJo.

Next was a group date with Luke, James, Jordan, former swimmer Robby Hayes, and US Marine Alex Woytkiw.

As they played soccer and tangoed in the street James, 29, felt a little under-confident.

'I don't see myself as this super sexy guy,' he said, before scoring a winning penalty in the football game.

'I feel like she had a stronger connection with some of them than me,' he fretted later.

Luke told JoJo that it all felt 'almost too good to be true'.

'But yeah, this is real,' he gushed.

'I'm running out of words to describe the level of passion that is Luke and me together…we have that physical connection down,' she agreed.

Luke was given the group date rose.

Next was a two-on-one, the second of the season, with Derek and Chase.

Derek, 29, was convinced he had 'the upper hand' before their tango dancing lesson.

'I'm fully expecting that rose tonight,' boasted the commercial banker.

'When JoJo and I lock eyes there are fireworks, it's insane,' he added.

During their alone time he told her he was falling for her.

'I'm so freaking lucky to be sitting here with you,' he sighed.

Chase said he was ready to 'be vulnerable' but JoJo needed more 'words of affirmation' from him.

'I want my future to involve you,' said the medical sales rep as they kissed.

'I wasn't enough,' sobbed the 29-year-old as he was ferried away.

The Bachelorette expertly edited scenes of Derek crying while being whisked away interspersed with clips of JoJo and Chase making out with the mournful song Don't Cry For Me Argentina playing out in the background.

At the final cocktail party Jordan tried to reassure her about his intentions.

'I want to be in love and engaged at the end of this and I think we can get there,' he confessed.

'Finally you're talking about your feelings,' she cooed.

Alex, the only person who hasn't had a one-on-one, was concerned.

'I don't want you to feel behind,' she told him.

Alex and James were left in the bottom two, but JoJo dramatically dashed away and refused to eliminate anyone.

'I couldn't say goodbye,' she said as she pinned a rose on each of them.

James said he was 'more grateful than anyone' to be progressing.
