1 July 2016 – ART Grand Prix Sergey Sirotkin claimed his second GP2 Series pole position of the season as he edged out Antonio Giovinazzi during qualifying at the Red Bull Ring.
Sirotkin clocked a time of 1:13.663 to get the better of Giovinazzi by just 0.006s as he collected the four bonus points on offer for pole position.
Pierre Gasly held provisional pole, prior to Sirotkin's lap, and looked set to challenge for top spot until he was blocked by Nicholas Latifi at the penultimate corner.
That denied Gasly the opportunity to improve and he went on to collect third position, in front of Luca Ghiotto and series leader Artem Markelov.
Raffaele Marciello was sixth for Russian Time, ahead of Britons Oliver Rowland and Alex Lynn.
Racing Engineering's Norman Nato and Campos' Mitch Evans completed the top 10.
The GP2 Feature Race will begin on Saturday at 15:40 local time
