THe Turkish government moved to supress two LGBTI pride events in Istanbul, banning the upcoming main LGBTI pride parade on June 26. 

Turkish journalists and human rights defenders Şebnem Korur Fıncancı, Erol Önderoğlu, and Ahmet Nesin have been detained on charges of producing "terror propaganda."
