But Stacey Solomon's romance with fellow TV star Joe Swash didn't get off to the best of starts, as she revealed on Wednesday's Loose Women that their first kiss was her 'most awkward' smooch ever.

The 26-year-old reality star gushed that the soap actor, 34, opted for a touch of drama when declaring his feelings for Stacey, before the couple confirmed their romance in January.

Speaking on Loose Women, Stacey revealed: 'My first kiss with Joe was the most awkward kiss of my whole life.'

The X Factor star explained the then-friends were talking about their love lives, with Stacey revealing she 'was stressing how I wanted to be single for a while.'

'He came to say goodbye to me as I was leaving to go home and shut the door, but I am very prude and not very forward,' she went on, before describing their first kiss.

'Then before the door could shut he pushed it open and walked straight up to me and kissed me and I just froze.'

'I was so shocked that he kissed me and that he liked me and then he went...'

Stacey added that she made things worse by getting on a plane for 24 hours, meaning the two couldn't speak about what happened.

Things are going from strength to strength for the couple, with Stacey confessing on last week's Loose Women that Joe met her whole family 'straight away'.

'Every [week] we have Friday night dinner, there's 22 of us. Everyone in the family has to come,'; she explained.

'He literally landed on a Friday and said, "I really wanna see you."

'I said, "Well I've got the family over for dinner, but you can come." I think he was thinking it was going to be just my mum and dad... He literally opened the door and started sweating,' she told panellists Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore and Ruth Langsford.

All's well that ends well: Things are going from strength to strength for the couple, with Stacey confessing on last week's Loose Women that Joe met her whole family 'straight away'

Obviously finding it amusing, the former X Factor finalist continued: 'There were at least 20 of us. My family are like loud Jewish mothers and my dad was like, "So, who are you?" Poor Joe was just in a state.

'He wanted to stay over and spend the night, but he was too scared. my dad was like, "So Joe, when are you going home?" Joe was like, "Now!"

Stacey is a proud mother to two sons from different relationships: eight-year-old Zachary, with Dean Cox, and Leighton, four, with ex-fiance Aaron Barnham.
