Yet Love Island's Tom Powell has defiantly silenced the critics after he posted a snap with on/off girlfriend Sophie Gradon on Twitter with his 209,000 followers on Tuesday. 

The 24-year-old Welsh hunk looked extremely cosy with the Geordie beauty, 30, despite his recent fury that she shared a kiss with fellow Islander Katie Salmon.

Tom looked overjoyed to be reunited with his sleeping girlfriend who appeared to be topless for their intimate snooze, just days after the Love Island final which saw Nathan Massey and Cara DeLaHoyde prized champions. 

Staring into the camera while Sophie slept alongside him, Tom looked as though he had truly forgotten the dramas which have haunted their relationship thus far. 

Having overcome their trials and tribulations, Sophie headed to Wales to reconcile their love despite causing heartbreak when she locked lips with Katie after Tom's departure. 

Trouble was rife after they departed as Sophie was accused of cheating, after which the Welsh hunk posted a snap of a topless blonde.

Sophie however was adamant she does not begrudge the topless image, as she told New! magazine that she would have done the same, blaming his 'bruised ego'.

Earlier this month, Tom shared a shocking snap of a mystery topless blonde on his Snapchat account following his departure from the villa - after which Sophie kissed Katie Salmon.  

Shortly after her brief romance, Sophie called things quits with Katie as she realised her true feelings for Tom, leading to her shock decision to leave the villa. 

Now, the Geordie beauty has insisted she does not begrudge Tom's topless dalliance as she said: 'I'm sure his efo's been bruised and he'll want to show people that he doesn't give a s**t.  I've got no resentment towards him. I would have done exactly the same. I do (see a future with him).'

It seems Tom is out for revenge however, as he took to Snapchat to share an extremely racy image of a topless blonde wearing just a purple thong.

Standing with her face to the wall, the curvy woman appeared to come over camera-shy yet Tom was sure to capture the snap for his followers, and eventually Sophie, to see.

Sophie took the news hard, and decided it was time to pack her bags and head home to patch things up with Welsh hunk Tom.

She declared: 'Right, that’s it for me. I’m done. Yeah, I’m going to ask [if I can leave]. I cannot do this, it’s just too much of a mind-f***. It’s not worth it. It’s not worth losing Tom over. I can’t lose Tom, I can’t.'

The former beauty queen then revealed her heart wasn't fully invested in her blossoming romance with new girl Katie, and she needed to end things before the brunette beauty got hurt.

She later changed her mind about leaving and vowed to stick it out on Love Island for the time being.
