The MJvFD website is currently going thru an upgrade and all corresponding pages will be uploaded over the next few weeks. Also the Board of Fire Commissioners, Fire District #2 of South Brunswick Twp. will be rolling out a new site to comply with public law of New Jersey.

October 13th 2012

On Saturday October 13th, hundreds of South Brunswick residents celebrated fire prevention week at the Monmouth Junction Fire Station. Residents participated in a scavenger hunt by visiting multiple learning stations around the building. Topics included smoke detector maintenance, electrical safety, candle safety, grill safety, clothes dryer safety, and much more. Please take a look at the pictures in the gallery!

September 18th 2012

Shortly after 4 AM on 9-18-12, the MJFD was dispatched to a possible structure fire in Jill Court in the Monmouth Walk development. While en route, Chief 200 was updated by patrol of a working fire in the rear of one of the town homes involving the wood deck and requested the first alarm be dispatched. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire with minimal extension to the residence. Crews were on scene until 6:30 AM. Responding were Chiefs 200 & 210, Engine 208, Tower 201, Engine 206, Support 207, Rescue 205, Kendall Park Engine 221 & Ladder 223, Kingston Chief 240, Engine 243 & Rescue 242, and the Monmouth Junction and Kingston First Aid Squads.

September 4th 2012

Shortly before 11 PM on 9-4-12, the MJFD responded to Route 535 near the East Brunswick border for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. The driver of one of the vehicles was killed and heavily entrapped inside the vehicle. Crews used the Jaws of Life to extricate the victim. Responding to the scene were Chief 200, Rescue 205, Engines 206 & 208, and Support 207. All units cleared the scene by 2:30 AM.
