She was going up against a veritable cavalcade of fine fillies.

But pregnant Blake Lively easily stole the show after she showcased her burgeoning bump in a flattering dress at the premiere of Cafe Society in New York on Wednesday.

The blonde beauty looked in sparkling form as she glided down the red carpet while she got ready to take in her latest silver screen extravaganza.

The 28-year-old, who it emerged in April is pregnant with her second child with husband Ryan Reynolds, seemed thrilled to be at the showpiece occasion in the Big Apple.

She had certainly dressed to impress in her plunging grey Carolina Herrera gown, which was adorned with fashion forward pink floral pompoms.

It also boasted an adventurously high hemline, which, coupled with her towering stilettos showed off her model-quality legs to the full.

But there were plenty of other big names at the event, with her co-star Kristen Stewart, who cracked a rare smile on the red carpet, showcasing her feminine side in a flattering lace gown.

There were a whole array of beautiful ladies at the Cafe Society premiere in New York, but Blake Lively well and truly stole the show.

You could barely tell the stunning actress was pregnant under her tulip skirted dress that hid her growing stomach, not that Blake has been afraid to show it off on this promo trail, choosing bodyconscious dresses just as often as she has loose fitting attire.

The dress was a beauty with its gorgeous grey hue and pink embellishment and the V neck showed off her assets while the short hem highlighted her long toned legs. If you've got it, flaunt it and all that!

Also there was Cafe Society director Woody Allen, who had dressed down for the occasion in a shirt, slacks and brown leather shoes. He was accompanied by his dazzling wife Soon-Yi Previn, who looked thrilled to be on her husband's arm at the event

Earlier this week revealed Blake said did not think twice when she got the chance to appear in the 1930s-set film, which also stars Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg and Steve Carell and hits cinemas on Friday.

She said: 'I didn’t know anything about the movie. It didn’t matter.

The Woody Allen romance picture follows a character named Bobby, played by Jesse Eisenberg, who leaves his home in the Bronx to move to 1930s era Hollywood.

He ends up falling in with Kristen Stewart's Vonnie, the secretary of his agent-to-the-stars uncle.

As if that was not enough, he ends up heading back to New York, and is swept up in the vibrant world of high society nightclub life.

So far the film has garnered lukewarm reviews, with an average rating of six out of 10 on Rotten Tomatoes, and is released in cinemas on Friday.
