Speaking exclusively to FEMAIL, Iskra, who was scouted when she was 13 after entering an ELLE girl search, said: 'Instagram has changed my life both personally and professionally.

'It is has given me a platform to help young women and men who struggle with body-image and self-esteem, which were issues that I dealt with growing up.

'For so long, we’ve only seen one standard of beauty in the media, which has caused so many people, including myself, to feel unworthy and think that their bodies are not good enough.'

Iskra, who once struggled to find her place in the modelling industry because of her natural curves, added: 'I’ve made it my mission to use the platform I have as a model and on Instagram - where she has 2.3million fans - to show people that this standard doesn't exist.

Everyone deserves to feel beautiful and love themselves

'I want to show that every person deserves to feel beautiful and love themselves no matter what other people say or what they see in the media.'

Speaking about the slow-motion video she released on Instagram, standing up for 'anyone who has ever been called fat', Iskra, who took part in the #MyStory Instagram campaign to highlight inspirational women on the site, said: 'I decided to post this video not for myself, but for my followers as a way to show them that online bullying is not okay and that there is a way to stand up for yourself.

'Words can be hurtful, but they don't stand a chance against a little bit of humour and self-worth.'

Speaking about the slow motion video she released on her own Instagram page, Iskra said: 'I decided to post this video not for myself, but for my followers as a way to show them that online bullying is not okay and that there is a way to stand up for yourself'

'Plus-size models? give me a F*****g breaking. Everyone needs to stop eating McDonald's, the NHS is f****d because of people like her eating too many bags of crisps."

'Ps I do not condone binge eating. I eat whatever I want in moderation. I will eat crisps but I'll also make healthy home cooked meals and workout regularly.

'For too long, most of the world thought women had to be super skinny to be a model, or beautiful in general, and all of those misguided reasons among other stereotypes are lies.

'I love what you do and how you show it to the world; how you respect yourself and take care of the house God gave your spirit. Keep doing what you do, and don't change a thing.'

However beno130 was not impressed, writing: 'Really? You just let your haters win by posting this video! You let these haters get under your skin.

'If you truly don't care about what others think of you and your body, you wouldn't need to post a video about it!

'What a b***h and a poor-sport this video proved of you. I was a fan until now. What a great role model you are...breeding more hate in this world.'
