'You never know what comes up': Delta Goodrem hints she's leaving The Voice Australia to pursue her music career... despite reports she can't sell out a stadium

She got her first victory as a coach on The Voice Australia this year, after five seasons of the show.

And it may well be that Delta Goodrem is wanting to go out on a high note, hinting she won't be returning to the singing contest next season.

The 31-year-old, whose new album Wings of The Wild has gone to the top of the ARIA charts, appears to be putting the focus back onto her music and is looking to go wherever it takes her.

Speaking with TV Week magazine, Delta admitted she was proud of the talent she had nurtured on the show, but added coyly: 'We're artists ourselves, so you never know what comes up'.

In the interview, published on Monday, the songstress said she couldn't commit to returning for the next season of the show.

Giving the impression it was a tough choice, the blond beauty noted: 'I've been a part of the show since its inception,' before adding: 'The crew are a big part of my family'.

If Delta does finish up this season, she won't be the only one to go from the existing line up, with Jessie J already confirmed to leave.

While speculation around the future of Joel and Benji Madden on the show continues as they reform with Good Charlotte and tour Europe.

The focus on her music again comes after the former Neighbours actress and Born To Try singer was apparently given a reality check on her star status.

According to last week's Woman’s Day magazine, the glamazon wanted to hit the road on tour at big venues but was instructed to re-think the idea.

‘She wanted to do an arena tour, but we had to break it to her that we didn't think she’d sell out an arena. She looked devastated,’ an insider revealed.

‘It would have been hard to hear – this is her heartland, where she built her career.’

The news comes hot on the heels of the 31-year-old abandoning her attempt to make it Stateside.

Listing her sprawling $5.8 million Hollywood Hills estate on the market in March, the songstress moved back home for good after years of splitting her time between Los Angeles and Sydney.

It's understood the American adventure said to be a harsh reality check for the former megastar whose preference for staying home to work didn't fit in with the LA party culture.

‘She’s used to having fans, people knowing who she is, but there she’s just like every other blonde singer. LA is all about partying and hanging out with the right people,’ the insider said.

However, her upcoming tour is reportedly selling better than expected.

The Wings Of The Wild tour begins in Newcastle on October 27, with dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane to follow.
