No consideration needed! Buyer snaps up Parker Posey's understated Greenwich Village co-op for $1.45 million
Two months after hitting the market, this independent star has managed to off-load her rather non-celebrity apartment.
Parker Poser's Greenwich Village home is currently under contract, after a buyer agreed to pay the full $1.45 million for the home, The Observer reports.
While the 47-year-old has to wait for a few more days until the deal closes to officially say she has sold her home, it would seem unlikely that anyone would want to give up the property which, in New York's pricey market, is rather affordable.
Best In Show: Parker Posey (who unusually starred in the listing photographs) has found a buyer New York City apartment with the Greenwich Village co-op currently under contract for $1.45 million
While the price and the pre-war co-op's location no doubt was a driving factor in enticing the buyer it is possible they were also swayed by the famous owner.
While most celebrities go to great lengths to avoid being even acknowledged as the seller, Parker marches to her own real estate market drum and starred in the listing photographs.

While just 850-square-feet, small in celebrity standards but decent in New York standards, the 1923 building is perfectly located.
Location, location: The apartment is located just steps from Washington Square Park and New York University
Understated: The 850-square-foot unit does not scream celebrity but, like its owner, is full of charm with a side of quirkiness
Parker's pad - which she originally bought in 2008 for $1.35 million - is just steps from Washington Square Park and NYU,
You will not find a private screening room or spiral staircase in Parker's abode, but it's still 'the most sought after one bedroom layout' at 30 Fifth Avenue.
That's due in large part to its East and North exposures that bathe the unit in sunlight all day long, according to the listing.
Spacious (for New York): The broker describes the apartment as 'perfect for entertaining' with its 'spacious living room' and gourmet kitchen decked out with top-of-the-line appliances from Miele, Viking and SubZero
Cook up a storm: While it may be slender in shape, the kitchen still has plenty of counter space for the avid home chef

The multitude of windows paired with 6ft-high beamed ceilings makes the space 'light and airy'.
Other beautiful features include a marble bathroom, a windowed dining area, original hardwood flooring and an over-sized master bedroom.
Let there be light: With its north and east exposures, the apartment is bathed in sunlight all day long. The apartment also boasts 'massive' storage space, including three large walk-in closets

The building was originally built in 1923 and converted into a co-op in 1970. It is 16 stories tall and includes a landscaped roof terrace that the owners volunteer to keep blooming in the warmer months.
As an added bonus, there is a live-in superintendent and doormen at the front desk at every hour.
Now back to the art: Parker (pictured earlier this month) is currently busy promoting her latest film, Woody Allen's Cafe Society
