No consideration needed! Buyer snaps up Parker Posey's understated Greenwich Village co-op for $1.45 million

Two months after hitting the market, this independent star has managed to off-load her rather non-celebrity apartment.

Parker Poser's Greenwich Village home is currently under contract, after a buyer agreed to pay the full $1.45 million for the home, The Observer reports.

While the 47-year-old has to wait for a few more days until the deal closes to officially say she has sold her home, it would seem unlikely that anyone would want to give up the property which, in New York's pricey market, is rather affordable.

While the price and the pre-war co-op's location no doubt was a driving factor in enticing the buyer it is possible they were also swayed by the famous owner.

While most celebrities go to great lengths to avoid being even acknowledged as the seller, Parker marches to her own real estate market drum and starred in the listing photographs.

While just 850-square-feet, small in celebrity standards but decent in New York standards, the 1923 building is perfectly located.

Parker's pad - which she originally bought in 2008 for $1.35 million - is just steps from Washington Square Park and NYU,

You will not  find a private screening room or spiral staircase in Parker's abode, but it's still 'the most sought after one bedroom layout' at 30 Fifth Avenue.

That's due in large part to its East and North exposures that bathe the unit in sunlight all day long, according to the listing.
