The stars align for Hillary: Lena Dunham, America Ferrera, Eva Longoria, Demi Lovato and Chloe Grace Moretz all reveal they will speak for Clinton at the DNC next week

  • All five celebrities have stumped for Clinton during the primaries this year
  • Clinton's star-studded convention stands in stark contrast to the RNC
  • Trump's lineup included soap actors and reality television stars
  • Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga and Lenny Kravitz will also perform at the DNC

The full Democratic National Convention program has yet to be revealed, but a handful of celebrities have already revealed they will be speaking on behalf of Hillary Clinton next week.

Lena Dunham, America Ferrera, Eva Longoria, Demi Lovato and Chloe Grace Moretz are lining up to support the first ever female candidate on a major party presidential ticket.

The star power comes on the heels of many poking fun at Donald Trump's RNC program, filled with the likes of a 1980s sitcom actor, former soap stars and reality television cast members.

All five women have been outspoken Hillary supporters in the past.

On June 7, the day of the California primary, Moretz tweeted 'Madame President here we come!'

She then posted a photo of her 'I voted' sticker, writing: 'To live a day in which my first vote is for a female democratic nominee to become our PRESIDENT of the United States.'

Dunham and Ferrera joined Chelsea Clinton to speak on behalf of her mother for a campaign event that took place in California in March.

'There is this narrative about young women not inspired by Hillary Clinton and that is just not the case,' Ferrera, who also campaigned for Clinton in 2008, said. 'That's not true.'

'I am a female, millennial voter,' she said. 'And I’m not only voting for Hillary, but I really like Hillary.'

Dunham has also interviewed Clinton for her newsletter Lenny and campaigned with the presidential hopeful as she fought Bernie Sanders in the primaries earlier this year.

Lovato performed at a Clinton rally earlier this year, telling the audience she doesn't believe there is a 'woman more confident than Hillary'.

'I am voting for her because of her beliefs, her strength and the fact that she completely embodies the concept of women empowerment,' Lovato told the crowd.

Longoria, who gave a memorable speech on behalf of Obama at the 2012 DNC, has been stumping for Clinton ever since she announced her candidacy for the 2016 ticket.

The Desperate Housewives star appeared at a Clinton rally before the Nevada caucus in February, telling the crowd: ‘A lot of people say, “I don’t care what a celebrity says.” I don’t either.’

‘I’m here as an American, an American who cares deeply about the progress this country has made. And I’m here as a Latina. I’m also here as a woman who cares deeply about equity.'

‘I keep hearing, “I’m just not inspired by Hillary,' she continued. ‘If Hillary doesn’t inspire you you aren’t paying attention.

‘For over three decades she’s fought for us. Now it’s time to fight for her.’

While the five celebrities plan to take the podium, Clinton has also already lined up a number of high-profile performers.

Alicia Keys will headline an opening celebration on Monday night, and Lady Gaga and Lenny Kravitz will be performing for delegates and invited guests on Thursday.
