He's back! The original Dr. Frank-N-Furter Tim Curry stars in latest trailer for Fox's The Rocky Horror Picture Show alongside Laverne Cox as his successor

He originated the iconic role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter in 1975 cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

And the newly released trailer for Fox's re-imagining - shared ahead of its upcoming San Diego Comic-Con panel on Thursday - revealed the first glimpse of Tim Curry in his new role as The Criminologist.

It also shared more footage than ever before of Orange is the New Black's Laverne Cox as the new Dr. Frank-N-Furter.

'It's just a jump to the left,' Tim can be heard saying, as a lead into the unforgettable Time Warp scene from the film.

The trailer also hints at a possible interactive element, as it highlighted the famous audience participation having to do with The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Fan participation is a key part of the movie's cult following, with most showings featuring casts of fans acting out the movie below or in some cases directly in front of the screen.

'Say it!' The audience was jumping out of its seat as Laverne Cox - as Dr. Frank-N-Furter - began the trailer by teasing: 'Shiver with antici-' before waiting a few minutes to dramatically finish: 'pation'

The trailer begins with a marquee of the Castle Theater, all lit up as it boasted a 'Science Fiction Double Feature.'

And amid teasing clips for the upcoming special, the trailer read: 'After 40 years, the best part of Rocky is still the fans.'

'Shiver with antici-' Laverne then says, causing the audience to lean forward in their seats and shout: 'Say it!' as they waited for her - as Dr. Frank-N-Furter - to finish the phrase.

And once she does the large crowd erupts into cheers before the clip continues with a look at the rest of the cast. 

Fans were treated to glimpses of Victoria Justice as Janet Weiss, and Ryan McCartan as Brad Majors.

Reeve Carney appears as Riff Raff, as the cast can be seen dancing to the Time Warp in colorful costumes.

Entertainment Weekly revealed that director Kenny Ortega is planning on revealing even more footage during Wednesday night's Comic-Con panel, which will feature stars: Victoria, Ryan, Christina Milian (Magenta), and Reeve.

Fox's upcoming re-imagining - which follows the network's successful broadcast of Grease: Live this past January - is set to debut this Halloween.
