'She thought hair removal cream was SHAMPOO!' Girl looks unamused in 'bald' viral photos shared by her sister on social media (but is all as it seems?)

  • Kayla Connors posted a photograph to Twitter of her 'bald' sister
  • Said the youngster confused Nair hair removal cream with shampoo
  • Many commentators have pointed out that the photos are a hoax

Next time you wash your hair, take a second glance at the lotion you're about to throw on your locks.

A young prankster has shown what could happen if some of the bathroom bottles get mixed up.

Kayla Connors, from Massachusetts, posted photographs to Twitter showing her sister supposedly bald after confusing Nair hair removal cream with shampoo.

The headshot shows her sister looking very unamused as she poses with her new minimalist coiffure.

The top of her head appears completely bald, with some wispy strands remaining above the ears.

Kayla tweeted: 'My sister thought Nair was shampoo' along with a red-faced and under-the-weather emoji.

Another photo shows Kayla's sister hiding behind the giant bottle of Nair she apparently used on her hair.

To date the photos have received 62,000 likes and 58,000 retweets.

Many commentators have pointed out that the photos are a hoax.

'Such a horrendous Photoshop, look at the hairline,' one viewer wrote.

Another suggested that Kayla used an app to create the bald look.

'Isn't this just a bald app? The top left of her scalp looks glitched out,' they mused.

Others pointed out that it couldn't have been hair removal cream because the product doesn't work that efficiently.

'Yeah sorry, it really doesn't work THAT fast, and smells so gross you would have to be REALLY dumb to not freak out and get it out instantly,' one viewer said.

And another added: 'Lol such a lie. That stuff smells like s*** and does not work well enough to do that.'

Several commenters also reminisced about making the same blunder when they were younger.

'Did the same thing when I was a kid. Luckily my mum smelled the chemicals afterwards and vigorously scrubbed my head to get it out.'

Hopefully for Kayla's sister's sake, it was a prank and the photos were the down to some clever photo-trickery.
