Sitting on her bed wearing a bra under some dungarees., she spoke for over ten minutes, saying: 'So today, I want to talk about being strong and being happy.

'People have been asking me how I am staying strong throughout this tough time and how come I am always smiling.

'And I thought people can do with a lesson from me in positivity, happiness and staying strong. I do think I am the strongest person I know and also the most positive.'

Jodie said she has also been through some tough times and is just like everyone else.

She said: 'I have been through a lot in life... and I mean a lot. From being bullied at school, to being beaten up by a boyfriend, who then went on to murder somebody and being bullied in CBB.

'EVERY boyfriend I've ever had has either ponced off me, wanted money from me, wanted fame from me, all sorts of things. I've never ever had an easy ride.

'I've never had a time in my life when I've had a smooth ride. I've had people steal money from me, steal jewellery from me, stab me in the back...

'Even now, I'm going through HELL at the moment in my private life and I won't go into it because it's private, but I am going through hell, believe me - and I'm still smiling, still happy.'

Leaning forward, she then said she was going to share her secret to happiness.

She said: 'I realised long ago that you should never let another human dictate your life in anyway, they shouldn't be the reason for your happiness or sadness.

'You can make yourself happy. You don't need a person to do it. You don't them to make you sad either.

'People are either a drain or a radiator. A radiator radiates warmth and love and heat and sunshine. Drains drain you and sap you of energy and joy and laughter.

'People are one or the other. If they are a drain, get rid of them.

'If you've broken up with someone, why are you crying over it? What will it achieve, other than give you puffy eyes?

'If you get up, get dressed, put your make-up on, do whatever it is that makes you feel good, then all of a sudden, you will find that life is better.

Jodie said she has found happiness just doing the simple things in life in the wake of her split.

She said: 'I enjoy walking the dogs, riding motorbikes or dare I say it, gardening. While I'm doing those things, I don't even allow room in my brain to think about anyone who's trying to bring me down.

'No matter how bad you think it is, you have to dig deep to find something good in your life.'

'I could sit here and cry a million tears over things that have happened to me over the years, but trust in karma and get on with your own life.

'Don't worry about what everyone else is doing. Worry about you. Leigh Francis [Keith Lemon] told me that.'

Adding: 'Even now, I'm going through HELL at the moment in my private life and I won't go into it because it's private, but I am going through hell, believe me - and I'm still smiling, still happy'
