Obama isn't the only one taking aim on the golf course: Secret Service snipers keep an eye on the president as he plays a round in San Diego

  • Snipers were out in force as Obama played at The Crosby Club
  • Officers worked alongside the FBI and California Highway Patrol
  • Played with friends at the end of a week-long trip along the West Coast
  • Began in Oregon at the scene of last week's college shooting
  • Ended with two rounds of golf in San Diego before flying home

For Barack Obama, it was a leisurely round of golf in the Californian sun.

But for his Secret Service detail, it was business as usual.

Snipers were out in force as the president played with friends at The Crosby Club in San Diego on Monday.

They were joined by California Highway Patrol and the FBI as the Commander-in-chief enjoyed his final day of a trip along the West Coast.

He started the week at Umpqua Community College in Oregon, the school where nine people were shot and killed last week.

He also stopped in San Francisco and Los Angeles for political fundraisers.

On Saturday night and Sunday, he relaxed his family in Rancho Santa Fe, and found time for a round of golf Sunday at Torrey Pines.

While walking round The Crosby Club, he waved to cameras of CBS 8 and members of the public.

The Secret Service kept a close eye on his actions, using golf carts to travel around the course with their weapons.

After wrapping up his round, Obama headed to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar where he boarded Air Force One back to Washington D.C.
