What you get paid
How we calculate our share
Our share is calculated by taking a percentage of the list price plus a fixed charge. The fixed charge is $4.95 per unit and the percentage of the list price varies depending on where each sale occurs.
For example...
If you sold a CD with a list price of $25.00 through a CreateSpace eStore, you would earn a royalty of $16.30. The calculation is as follows:

What you pay for
Proof copies
The cost for a proof copy is the same as the cost for a single disc, plus shipping and handling. You are asked to pay this amount when you place your order.

Orders purchased through your account for your title are referred to as "Member Orders."
Receive volume discounts on your Member Orders by purchasing multiple copies of the same CD and shipping them to a single address, in a single order.
A few important notes about Member Orders:
- You pay the fixed charge minus a volume discount if the order is for 50 or more copies of the same audio CD.
- You pay for your CDs at the time of ordering.
- You don't earn royalties when you purchase your own title.
- Sales tax may apply to your order.
- Member pricing only applies to orders placed through your account for your own titles.
- Shipping times do not include the manufacture of your order. This will be calculated when you place your order.
- Orders are shipped from the continental U.S. For non-U.S. orders, allow additional time for customs processing and delivery to areas outside major cities. Import duties and taxes may be levied upon delivery.
- Priority and Expedited options are not available for U.S. P.O. Boxes

Submission requirements
Your artwork can only be uploaded as a JPEG file in RGB color mode. The resolution of all images must be 300 DPI.

Disc face artwork
We print your disc face artwork all the way to the disc hub (or inner hole) in full-color. The disc face is covered by the artwork you upload, with a small barcode added at bottom.

Submission requirements
- To ensure the highest possible audio quality, we recommend uploading files in AIFF format.
- Your content must adhere to our Copyright Guidelines, Content Guidelines and Member Agreement.
Accepted digital formats
- Uncompressed AIFF (44.1 KHz, 16- bit, 2-channel stereo files required)
Preparing files to upload
- All audio files must be uploaded as a single .ZIP archive.
- All audio file names must begin with a numeral, may not exceed 100 characters, and may not include any of the following reserved characters: < > : " / \ | ? * ' +
- Tracks must be sequentially numbered without any gaps in numbering.
- Example: 01-First Song.AIFF, 02-Second Song.AIFF, 03-Third Song.AIFF, etc.
- All audio file names must end in an appropriate dot extension: (.AIFF or .AIF)
- The total number of audio tracks submitted must match the number indicated when you set up your title.
- Track length and total runtime must adhere to the Red Book audio CD standard.
Audio CD FAQ
How much will it cost to set up my CD?
We do not charge title set-up fees, and you'll receive free CreateSpace UPC assignment for your CD if you do not already own one.
How can I distribute digitally?
The distributors listed here provide MP3 conversion services and distribute through the Amazon Digital Music Store.
Do I keep the rights to my work?
We offer a non-exclusive agreement, enabling you to take advantage of future publishing and distribution opportunities that may come your way. For more information, please see our Member Agreement.
Can I order copies of my CD from you?
