2016-4-1 Sawako Hanyu appointed new Librarian of the National Diet Library
As of March 31, 2016, Mr. Noritada Otaki, the Librarian of the National Diet Library, retired and as of April 1, 2016, Dr. Sawako Hanyu was newly appointed Librarian of the National Diet Library.
Dr. Hanyu served as Professor of Ochanomizu University from 1996, vice-president and Director of the University Library from 2005 and President from 2009, and Executive Director of RIKEN from 2015. Born in 1948.
