Not so Over You? Miranda Lambert breaks down in tears as she performs song she co-wrote with ex-husband Blake Shelton

Miranda Lambert shared a steamy snapshot kissing her new beau Anderson East earlier this month.

But the 32-year-old beauty was brought to tears while performing a song she co-wrote with her ex Blake Shelton, 40.

The country songstress could hardly finish singing her hit Over You during a show from her Keeper of the Flame Tour on Friday night.

Blake and Miranda wrote the song about a personal experience The Voice judge had as a teenager, when his older brother was killed in a car accident.

But with a verse including 'You went away, how dare you, I miss you. They say I'll be ok, but I'm not going to ever get over you,' it's hard to dismiss the innuendo.

Tears poured down Miranda's face as she tried to get out the heartbreaking lyrics in front of a packed audience at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois.

She pounded on her chest while belting out the words 'But I'm not going to ever get...' as she threw her fist in the air and let concertgoers finish the line '...over you.'

As the song finished, Miranda wiped the tears pouring down her face and took to the mic: 'Thank you Chicago. I told you I was a mess, thanks for that.'

The Grammy Award-winning singer reportedly told fans that she was having a rough night, felt hormonal and had cramps, according to UsWeekly.

'Within two songs, you could tell her usual energy was not there,' a reporter for Chicago Now explained and that she had a 'low key attitude.'

The Gunpowder & Lead singer reportedly decided to record the song because of Blake's overly emotional connection to the song.

Over You earned the former couple the 2012 Country Music Award for Song of the Year.

Their divorce was finalized in July 2015 and Blake began dating his fellow Voice judge, Gwen Stefani, 46, four months later in November.
