Young Jeezy Talks BET Awards Rick Ross Squabble, Gucci Mane Diss

JAY JENKINS (a.k.a. Young Jeezy)

Young Jeezy has addressed the backstage incident at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in a new interview.

In his first comments on the awards show squabble between his and Rick Ross' crews, he told Power 106 FM's Big Boy that it's been "back and forth, two, three years, about nothing."

"In the hallway, we walking out… me and [Ross] had never really seen each other, you know, face to face… He spoke, I spoke, that was basically it," Jeezy explained, adding that the beef hasn't been squashed. "If it was to be handled, it should've been handled there. We gon' get past it and keep moving."

Though violence broke out between the two crews, Jeezy said he wasn't touched -- and that he's not interested in "WWF B.S." to get attention.

"This rap game is just WWF, everybody wants points off somebody else," he said. "I got my respect in the streets, I got real respect, I'm not an actor.

"I ain't worried about no nother grown man. I'ma continue to make records, continue to make hits, continue to be what I am, legendary. Do they have that on Wikipedia?" he said, laughing.

And on Gucci Mane's recent verbal attack, Jeezy also had strong words.

"Everybody know that boy retarded, man. Nobody taking him seriously man. He got an ice cream cone on his face," he said. "It's crazy because they'll call you and want you on songs, and when you don't get on songs, this is what happens."

And while Ross rhymes about the backstage incident on his current mixtape, "The Black Bar Mitzvah," don't expect an answer track.

"I'm not into dissin'," Jeezy said. "I have no interest in it. As men, I don't want to have to worry about you tomorrow."

Instead, he'll be focusing on his new material: single "Get Right" landed this week.
