Emmy-winning singer Andy Williams has been announced as the recipient of the 17th annual ELLA Award by the Society of Singers (SOS). The presentation will take place May 19 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Willliams, who won an Emmy for his eponymous '60s variety show, is a three-time host of the Grammy Awards who charted 12 top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 and 21 top 40 hits on the Hot 100 from the late '50s through the '70s. Among his string of hits: "Days of Wine & Roses" and "Can't Get Used to Losing You."

Williams, who also operates the Moon River Theatre and the Andy Williams Moon River Grill in Branson, Mo., joins such previous ELLA honorees as Tony Bennett, Celine Dion, Elton John and 2007 recipient Gladys Knight.
