CBB hopeful Katie Waissel shares a family portrait with new husband Brian Moote after their whirlwind wedding... as she reignites her feud with Cheryl

She's been in the Celebrity Big Brother house for four days as her quest to win the crown gets up and running.

But Katie Waissel, 30, has left behind husband Brain Moote, with whom she has been sharing a whirlwind romance and now speaks candidly about with OK! magazine.

In a joint interview, the lovestruck former X Factor hopeful and radio presenter Brian reveal why they married after only six months of dating.

‘It was like that age-old saying: "When you know, you know",' she said.

Katie and Brian tied the knot in October in a secret wedding in America where Katie now lives. It's his first marriage and her second.

'I’ve been married before so I was in no rush to get into anything else, but we’re best friends. It didn’t seem fast for me,’ the reality star added.

Despite it being a life-changing moment, Brain revealed that he was unphazed when he proposed last summer.

‘It was very low-key. We decided to get married with a high five over dinner one night in August,’ he told OK! 

Katie went on to talk about her pre-CBB nerves as she fears the public will savage her like it did during her spat with X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

She called the Girls Aloud singer a 'nasty, horrible human' after Cheryl wrote in her autobiography that she only voted Katie through the show because she would make 'good telly' - in other words because Simon Cowell told her to. 

‘It would be so great for people to see me as I really am,' Katie said. 

'I know I’m opening myself up again [for criticism] but I’ve never been afraid to do that. 

'I’m happily married now, I’m 30 and I’m in a very different place in my life to when I was on X Factor.’

Katie claimed that her attack on Cheryl was 'justified at the time because she wasn’t very nice to me.' 

The TV star revealed she was surprised when Cheryl named her personally in her book because she though the two were friends. 

'I don’t know why she put me in her book in the first place, it was so unnecessary. But I stand up for what I believe in and I’m very anti-bullying,’ she said. 

‘At the time we had a good relationship, we were going through this experience and nothing bad was said. We’d hang out and there was no issue, so the fact she put my name in her book – I was like, okay thanks for thinking of me then.’

She also let on that she has a much better relationship with fellow judges Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.

‘I spoke to Louis about a year ago but the last time I saw Simon was at Christmas, before we left for Atlanta. I love him so much. He’s an amazing human and I adore him.’

Brian and Katie met when she was in LA two years ago through a friend.

A source close to Katie revealed all about their nuptials, telling Now magazine: 'They knew each other for a year before he plucked up the courage to text her! Brian won Katie over with hilarious banter and sharp wit which made her call him immediately.

The insider added: 'They got married on 14 October in a small ceremony – they kept it quiet for a while too with just family knowing.

'Katie couldn't be happier and more excited for their future together.'

Brian is Katie's second husband: she was previously married to model Brad Alphonso in 2012, but they split just two months later.

They had tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in New Orleans after dating for just four months, and it all came to an end pretty quickly after a series of rows, leaving her heartbroken.
