She's enjoying a well-deserved break after wrapping the last two films in the Fifty Shades franchise.

And on Monday, Dakota Johnson and a gal pal treated themselves to some frozen yogurt before hitting up a store for a few groceries in the Los Feliz neighbourhood of Los Angeles.

The cup was so small, however, it must have been a sample.

So cool: Dakota Johnson donned a pair of Daisy Dukes and a white T-shirt as she and a friend went shopping in the Los Feliz neighbourhood of Los Angeles on Monday

The 26-year-old kept cool in a pair of denim shorts that made the most of her long legs, plus a white V-neck T-shirt and white sneakers.

She left her brunette tresses free to flow over her shoulders and she didn't appear to be wearing much in the way of make-up, hiding her eyes behind a large pair of shades.

Dakota and her pal, who was dressed in jeans and a blue and white striped T-shirt, chatted as they strolled along eating their delicious, but tiny, deserts.

She just wrapped up filming the last two Fifty Shades films in Europe and now Dakota can take a respite from her busy filming schedule. The stunning actress was seen in her off-duty look with a pal while out getting yogurt in Los Angeles.

The actress returned to Los Angeles on July 21 after spending two weeks in France finishing up Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed that filmed back to back.

The two movies complete the erotic trilogy that started with Fifty Shades Of Grey in 2015 and mostly filmed in the Canadian city of Vancouver.

Dakota plays the innocent young love interest of kinky millionaire businessman Christian Grey, played by Jamie Dornan, 34, in the franchise, based on the erotic bestsellers of the same name by author E.L. James.

Fifty Shades Darker is set for release on February 10 with the third and final film, Fifty Shades Freed, due out on February 9, 2018.

Meanwhile, the daughter of actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson has plenty of work lined up for the coming months.

She's due to star in Under The Silver Lake with Andrew Garfield, The Sound Of Metal with Matthias Schoenaerts and Suspira with Tilda Swinton.
