He split from his wife seven months ago after a year of marriage.

But Jensen Button's new relationship looked to be going strong as he strolled through Beverly Hills with beautiful Brittny Ward on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old Formula One star and the Playboy model, 29, looked at ease with one another as they held hands in the summer sun.

Jenson, with his dusty locks swept to the left and the beginnings of a beard emerging on his chin, opted for a tight white Tee with shorts rolled above the knee.

He donned a pair of low-heeled maroon Converse shoes and shielded his eyes from the sun with some suave brown shades. 

His casual look allowed Brittny to take the limelight as she dazzled in a deep blue laced playsuit with a revealing neckline that accentuated her generous bust.

She accessorised with a black handbag over one shoulder and a pair of sophisticated black sunnies as she ambled with Jenson in her flip-flops.

Brittny, who was crowned Miss January 2015 by Playboy last year, was born and raised in Northern California and began modelling at the age of 12.

She started her career in San Francisco, starring in beauty pageants before she moved to the southern part of the state.

Jenson split from his previous wife Jessica Michibata, 31, in December 2015 after one year of marriage.

The pair, who tied the knot in a lavish Hawaiian ceremony at the end of 2014, remained on good terms despite calling time on their relationship.

A spokesperson for the former F1 World Champion told MailOnline in December: '(They) have decided to go their separate ways and it is very amicable. There is no one else involved.' 

Meanwhile, Jenson has been told by Williams that they will not be 'waiting around' for him to make up his mind on his future in Formula One.

Williams are keen to pursue a move for Button, which would see him return to the team with whom he started his grand prix career.

Button is out of contract with McLaren at the end of the season, but the British team have already announced they will not make a decision on their driver pairing for 2017 until September at the earliest.

Fernando Alonso has one more year to run on his current deal, while reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne is waiting in the wings should McLaren terminate their seven-season relationship with Button.

In such a scenario, it is understood that Williams would be prepared to prolong Button's career into an 18th successive campaign.
