'Legislation called Reach Every Mother and Child Act would scale up the low-cost, high-impact approaches that work to prevent maternal and child deaths in the countries that need them most,' the organization said, adding that if the act passed, 'it would enable the U.S. to save the lives of 15 million children and 600,000 women by 2020.'

The organization noted that 'with U.S. leadership, the world has seen more than a 50 percent decline in preventable child deaths since 1990.'

Olivia's timing was on point, as Bump Day, observed Aug. 3, aims to 'raise awareness about the need for maternal health care worldwide,' according to Bumpday.org.

It's Olivia's latest foray into promoting social and political causes she holds close to her heart, as the Rush star has never been afraid to share her beliefs on hotbed issues.

The Drinking Buddies beauty campaigned on behalf of President Barack Obama in 2008, and has supported Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in the current U.S. election cycle.

She's been particularly outspoken in her views opposing a potential presidency for Republican nominee Donald Trump, tweeting numerous messages making clear she thinks it would be a catastrophe if he were to be elected.

'My neighbor just brought over blueberry cobbler just 'cuz, and for that brief moment I forgot to feel panicked about Trump existing,' she wrote July 22.

The day before, following Trump's outing at the Republican National Convention, she tweeted, 'Tonight, Trump: "America, I am your voice." Me: Dude, not true even if my voice did bath-salts and became possessed by demons. #notmyvoice.'

The House actress has also lent her name to causes such as voter registration drives, unions for farmworkers, women's issues and Down syndrome awareness.

Clearly, Olivia - who announced her current pregnancy in April an Instagram post alongside her toddler son Otis, aged two years - isn't letting her pregnancy derail her from her normal grind.

In May, the actress dazzled in high fashion on the red carpet of the 2016 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit in New York City.

She did the same the following month at the Big Apple's CFDA Fashion Awards.
