Lena Dunham accentuates her fake baby bump in stripes as she cradles stomach on New York set of Girls

She has been rocking a prosthetic bump during her filming days.

And Lena Dunham wanted to make sure her fake growing baby belly was on full display.

The 30-year-old star accentuated her stomach with a striped dress while filming Girls in Westchester, New York on Tuesday.

She sported a horizontal striped muted orange, brown, blue and beige striped midi dress.

Her fake baby belly could be seen protruding as she completed the look with a grey sweater and light blue suede loafers.

No doubt it has been a fun few days on set as she has been seen lately donning some rather quirky looks.

While last week Lena had been enjoying herself filming on location in Florida, it was back to the grind in Yonkers, New York.

The star wore two different looks in quick succession on set, starting off her day in an ensemble that was partially on trend and partially, as she dubbed it, from 1997.

The writer stepped out in a black silk shift dress which has become the go-to for models of late, but then she bucked the trend with some impossible to miss bright yellow socks with sunflowers on them.

Posting a picture on Instagram of herself in her dressing room, Lena said: 'Junior prom '97, crafty girl who doesn't care what the jocks think.'

As she snapped away in the mirror she inadvertently showed the not-so sexy underwear she had to wear under her next look.

The star needed to throw on a pair of nude granny panties to ensure she did not have visible panty lines under her clingy stripped midi dress.

The star wore the figure-flattering blue, white and tan dress with a pair of sky blue loafers and also added a cardigan for warmth.

The layered look was very different to the one she got to enjoy in Florida, where the star beat the heat in a sporty bikini.

Posting a few snaps of herself in her bikini, Lena poked a little fun at Instagram fitness models and bloggers.

The star wrote: 'I'm a lifestyle blogger now. People love it!!! They love the sporty lifestyle!'

 Lena confirmed in January that the upcoming sixth season of Girls will be its last.

'I conceived of Girls when I was 23 and now I’m nearly 30 — the show has quite perfectly spanned my 20s, the period of time that it’s about.

'So it feels like the right time to wrap our story up,' she said in a statement.

'We look forward to creating a sixth season that will honor our amazing cast, crew and fans. And in the Girls universe, nothing ever ends too neatly.'
