First look! Sneak peek of Naomi Watts and Jacob Tremblay in Shut In reveals thriller fans are in for a terrifying ride

He may not even be in double digits yet, but this Hollywood child star has spent a lot of screen time locked away.

Jacob Tremblay is once again stuck inside a home and upping the terror levels as he and Naomi Watts are in a battle for their lives in new film Shut In.

Fans got their first look at thriller on Tuesday and in just four pictures it was clear this will be a terrifying two hours.

While in Jacob's breakout hit Room there was breaks between sadness and fear, this time around the pint sized star says there is little reprieve.

Sitting down with USA Today to debut the stills from the film, the nine-year-old said: 'I had to act scared a lot with Jack [in Room]. But I had to act scared [in Shut in] most of the time.

Explaining his character Tom, who is deaf and has been swallowed up by the social service system, the actor said he had to go to a darker place.

'Tom's a dark character. Not Batman dark. But he's scared, has rings under his eyes and looks creepy.'

In the movie, due out in November, Naomi plays a widowed social worker who takes Tom under her wing and moves him into her isolated home.

But when a fierce storm hits, the social worker initially fears that Tom poses a threat to her.

However, they both quickly realise there is a true evil after them or, as Jacob says, 'bad guy trying to kill them'.

Little Jacob is also scaring audiences in the long-delayed but soon-to-be released Before I Wake.

Playing opposite Kate Bosworth and Thomas Jane, Jacob stars as a foster boy whose dreams come to life - but so do his nightmares.

Before I Wake was shot before Room while Shut In was filmed before Room was released.
