Mel's tiny number was completely covered with chunky scarlet jewels, split only by a few saucy cut outs at the chest and on the sleeves.

The GEM singer, who has recently lost 30 pounds thanks to an intensive fitness regime, opted for a form-fitting frock to flaunt her impressively toned physique after spending hours in the gym.

The mother-of-three paired the dress with racy fishnet tights and thigh-high suede boots as she worked her magic in front of the cameras.

Keeping her make-up natural and scraping her hair back completely, all eyes were on the bedazzling dress as she shimmered in front of the cameras.

Accompanied upon arrival by her fellow judge Heidi, the singer was not the only glamourous woman present.

German supermodel Heidi, 43, looked equally as stunning as her counterpart in a more toned-down black and silver ensemble.

Her semi-sheer frock was adorned with large metallic silver flowers, keeping in with Mel's high-shine and glitzy theme.

The blonde beauty cut an incredibly slender figure in the dress, showing off her tanned legs.

Heidi paired the look with delicate matching black and silver heeled sandals and glitzy black drop down earrings, completing the put-together and classy outfit.

Sweeping her hair to one side Heidi, who has been modelling since 1992, left her youthful complexion and smooth, glowing skin clear for all to see.

Both women were evidently excited about their fashion choices for the show, simultaneously taking to Instagram to show off their chic ensembles.

Mel posted a sassy shot of her showing who's boss backstage, bending down to show off her curves and adopting a killer pout for the snap, captioned:'Get out my way peeps, running to the stage.'

Meanwhile Heidi proved why she is a successful supermodel, capturing her perfect angle as she snapped a quick selfie getting her makeup done, posting: 'And thats a wrap for tonight . Thank you @sabrinabmakeup and @cwoodhair #AGT'.

The female judges added a hint of glamour to an otherwise traumatic evening, after a death-defying daredevil act went horrifically wrong on live TV.

Contestant Ryan Stock had stood on stage with a large bullseye in his mouth - a lengthy pole section down his throat - as fiancée Amber Lynn Walker stood on a ladder with a high-powered bow.

She then lit an arrow and fired - but missed the target, hitting Ryan close to his throat and captured on live TV on the talent show’s quarter finals.

With the upbeat music already silenced for dramatic tension, Ryan let out a chilling loud gag, and brushed repeatedly at the hit area, seemingly fearing he was on fire.

The cameras quickly cut away fearing a tragedy, instead showing the judges all looking on in frozen horror, Heidi Klum with her hand over her face and Howie Mandel’s hands in a prayer shape.

After a terrifying silence, Ryan could finally be heard saying ‘we’re good’ - although when he was next seen he was bent over in pain and clear shaking in shock.

Pointing out he was clearly ‘in pain,’ he insisted he needed to go straight to an EMT, failing to hide his frustration when Ryan tried to brush it off and deny needing help.

‘We have to be responsible here - you are hurt,’ Howie told him sternly. ‘The audience just saw what can happen. I hate that I just saw what could happen.’

Mel B seemed lost for words at the accident, calling it ‘frightening,’ while Heidi said it ‘really really scared me.’

‘It scared me the first two times that I’ve seen you guys,’ she said, having previously wanted them off the how after getting grossed out when Ryan swallowed an electric drill and balanced a chainsaw in his mouth.

‘Now I know why I don’t like these things because they can sometimes go wrong.’

Simon was even more blunt when he interrupted Heidi and asked: ‘Why are we judging this act?

‘Amber just shot Ryan and he needs to go to a hospital now! I’m being serious.’

As they cut for an ad break, Nick pointed out that it was ‘live television and anything can happen,’ clarifying later that the daredevil had been checked out ‘and appears to be OK so we are happy about that.’

Ironically before they hit the stage the act - who Simon previously called ‘a human horror movie’ - had joked about him possibly dying onstage, with Amber Lynn asking him: ‘Promise you won’t be mad at me if I kill you?’

‘Sure. I can promise that,’ he told her, them both smiling.

They also laughed about how they ‘haven’t killed each other yet’ and that it was going to be ‘probably one of the most dangerous things we’ve ever done.’

Another of the 12 acts performing in the quarter finals, acrobats ThroWings, also highlighted the dangers - with female star Annie saying they were repeating the same move that once left her with a broken spine, this time with strobe lights blinding them.

‘If something happens with her I will not be able to live with myself,’ her partner Andre.

But Simon warned them that the danger did not translate onstage, jokingly referring back to the dramatic events of the dangerous act on previously.

The Syco owner said he felt the double act needed more drama ‘like one of you should have been on fire.’

America's Got Talent, which airs on NBC, continues on August 23rd.
