A Holmes-ly girl! Katie looks far from her usual glamorous self as she wears curlers on set of Coup D'etat

She is renowned for her glamorous red carpet appearances.

But Katie Holmes was looking far more homely as she wandered around wearing curlers on the set of Coup D'etat in Georgia on Wednesday.

The acting heavyweight looked far from the beauty who won the heart of Tom Cruise as she sauntered around with her rollers in.

But that did not stop the  37-year-old from wearing a wide smile as she mingled with her underlings on the busting set in Atlanta.

That was not all she was wearing, for the lithe stunner showcased her svelte physique in a star spangled white vest, which she wore with her nurse character's scrub trousers.

And later she was dressed in her full uniform, though she still looked far from the the elegant beauty who stunned her crew and co-stars on set on Tuesday.

Coup D'etat tells the story of a young girl and a dictator, who travels to the youngster's house in the U.S. after he is overthrown by his country and receives a letter from her, which was written as a school assignment.

It is scheduled for release in 2017, the same year the Dawson's Creek dolly's mini-series The Kennedys: After Camelot will hit small screens.

Katie has returned to her role as former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy for the second installment of the Reelz series. She will direct two of the episodes.

She has also gotten behind the camera to direct the drama All We Had, which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year.

The project marked Katie's directorial debut, and which Variety perhaps unsurprisingly described as being 'laid low by a banal script that takes the easy path at every turn.'
