And the exact moment Jared Leto first laid eyes on the fashion-forward attire has now been revealed, with a funny picture re-surfacing on Twitter.

The Thirty Seconds To Mars rocker can't contain his glee, seemingly taking mental notes on the look.

And it seems it certainly made an impact on him since he even styled the look in a similar fashion for the film premiere.

Never one to shy away from pushing the envelope with his questionable fashion, the 44-year-old Oscar-winner continued his wacky ensemble with a pair of ankle bashing pink trousers.

Resembling a look from Will Ferrell's Elf - sans shearling collar and sleeves - Jared opted to close his eccentric green knee-length coat displaying it's intricate pearl buttons for fans to see.

Exhibiting his slender ankles in his vibrant baby pink pants, the acclaimed actor flashed a pair of thick wool socks - more attuned to winter than summer - as he donned his favourite Gucci loafers.

Keeping to a sleek look, Jared gelled his mid-length tresses back as he sported a scruffy beard while giving fans a thumbs up.

Starring as the Joker in the highly-anticipated flick, Jared had recently opened up the possibility of reprising his role.

He told Good Morning America: 'I feel like this film is an introduction to the Joker, and I'm hopeful that we will see more to come.

'I think you don't really say goodbye. I think the Joker's in there somewhere.'

Suicide Squad is centered around a gang of DC Comics characters and also stars Margot Robbie, Cara Delevigne, Will Smith, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, Scott Eastwood and Joel Kinnaman.

The Dallas Buyers Club star, who is renowned for his method acting, told GQ he did have to stop himself from researching too much violence for the part as it started to 'impact' him.

He said: 'There was a point where I was researching violence and was watching a lot of things that…things that it’s arguable if anybody should even see.'

'And I noticed that started to have an impact on me that I didn’t like, so I stopped.

'It starts to just get inside of you, violence and some of those things. But you know, I’ve made some pretty dark films.'

Suicide Squad is set for limited release in the US this Thursday with the UK release following on Friday.
