She's set to kick off the Australian leg of her tour with a highly anticipated performance in Melbourne.

But Selena Gomez seemed a little camera shy while touching down in the Victorian capital city in Australia on Friday morning.

The 24-year-old American singer was seen shielding her face with her hands, while sporting a casual black and white ensemble for her travels.

Selena wore a white T-shirt teamed with a pair of fitted black trousers.

A long black coat was layered over her blouse, and she ditched her stage-ready heels for a pair of laced up running shoes.

With her luscious dark locks pulled back, the singing sensation also appeared to be wearing a pair of glasses.

No doubt the stunner caught up on some beauty sleep while on board, as she was seen firmly clutching onto a fluffy white pillow.

With her hands across her face, it looks like the award-winning superstar is waiting till she hits the stage to do the big reveal for her Australian fans.

The former Disney star will kick off her tour in Melbourne on August 6 at the Margaret Court Arena.

She will the relocate to Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena on August 9 before wrapping up her three-day adventure at Brisbane's Entertainment Centre on August 11.

Following her short stay Down Under Selena will head to Auckland in New Zealand for a one date show on August 13 at the Vector Arena.

US group DNC - who also featured former Disney star Joe Jonas - will join Selena as their support act but will miss her allocated Brisbane show.
