Calvin Harris unveils the much-anticipated music video to Olé... but is he throwing shade at ex Taylor Swift?

On Friday Calvin Harris released the much anticipated music video to his single Olé- a song which many read as a post-breakup swipe at Taylor Swift.

And while the video isn't an obvious dig at his ex- a la Justin Timberlake's Cry Me A River, many fans pointed out a series of parallels.

The video, shot just off the coast of Las Cabos in Mexico, features a bevy of brunette beauties.

The slow-paced song accompanies scenes of John Newman singing on the porch of a holiday villa, as well as lounging on a yacht and cuts to shots of a group of hot women lounging in bikinis and horse-riding at sunset.

Calvin makes a series of appearances, notably one is as he sits on a group of rocks with two bikini-clad ladies.

This scene is somewhat reminiscent of the pictures that first broke the news of Taylor and her new flame Tom Hiddleston, who were pictured getting cosy on some rocks just weeks after Taylor and Calvin ended their 16-month romance.

Another scene shows Calvin and John posing for a shot with a group of girls while sat in chairs, which some fans have pointed out looks similar to the Instagram snap of Taylor, Tom and their friends Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

And lastly fans pointed out there were the shots of Tom and Taylor walking along the beach with his mum- cue a scene with Calvin strolling along with his entourage of lovely ladies.

While some fans have picked up on the very subtle similarities many have equally been left disappointed by the lack of references to Taylor, with the video notable featuring brunette models and no sign of a Swift lookalike.

The 32-year-old Scottish DJ released the track last month, with many believing the lyrics seemed to reveal his ire over his split with Taylor and her subsequent new relationship.

In July TMZ revealed the song was filled with not-so-cryptic digs at Taylor, 26, and is sung from the point of view of Tom, 35.

One of the lines in the song notably utilises a play on words with Tom's Avengers character Loki, going: 'Low key, you won't tell none of your friends about me.'

Another line in the forthcoming song appears to reveal his feelings about how the end of their relationship went down: 'I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend. Being attentive, continue to pretend...'

The track continues: 'You've hidden my name in your phone so you can call me to tell me you've been going through hell.

However according to TMZ, Calvin was working on the song long before Taylor hooked up with Tom.

Calvin and Taylor - who is known for writing break-up songs about her litany of famous ex-boyfriends - split at the end of May after a 15 month romance.

Seemingly one of the showbiz world's strongest couples at the time, it has been alleged that the I Need Your Love hitmaker was blindsided by the split and Taylor's speed at hooking up with Tom just a couple of weeks later.

Reports at the time stated that Calvin believed there was an overlap in her relationship with the Night Manager star, although TMZ claims a source close to the star does not blame Tom, and that he is simply 'under Taylor's spell'.

Immediately after the break-up, and before Tom's involvement became apparent, Calvin took to Twitter to insist there was no 'drama' or hard feelings between them.

After Taylor hooked up with Tom, however, Calvin defiantly deleted all images of them together from his social media accounts.

Taylor and Tom's romance has raced along at the speed of light, the two superstars first spotted together putting on a very cosy display in Rhode Island in June, weeks after they first met at the Met Gala in early May, while she was still with Calvin.

Since then, they have been pictured on almost a daily basis while travelling the globe, looking more and more loved-up with plenty of cuddles and kisses.

Taylor has even visited the Brit actor's home in Sussex and met his mother, with whom she appears to get along with incredibly well.

And, over the Fourth of July weekend, Taylor and Tom - dubbed Hiddleswift - couldn't hide their feelings at the I Knew You Were Trouble singer's lavish and star-studded party at her mansion.

The newly-smitten pair were even seen cuddling up together, Taylor on Tom's lap, in a picture alongside their friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

It was reported Calvin penned his revenge-style track over that weekend, which saw neither Tom nor Taylor attempt to keep their love on the down-low.
