'I can't stop having children!' Hugh Grant hints at the possibility extending his brood... as he admits to crying 'for three weeks' after 2007 meltdown

He's already a father of four, but Hugh Grant has joked that he doesn't rule out the possibility of having more children in the future.

Appearing on the The Late Late Show with James Corden, the British actor jested that 'he can’t stop having children' after welcoming two with Tinglan Hong and another two with his current partner, Swedish TV producer Anna Eberstein.

Hugh, 55, also revealed that he once sought the help of psychiatrists after suffering an apparent meltdown in 2007 following a trip to the Maldives.

'I went mad in 2007. I got massaged into madness,’ he said.

The star said he was on vacation and had 'about 30 massages a day' to overcome his 'extreme boredom,' but only realized something was wrong on the flight home.

'I got on the plane to go home, open a newspaper reading the football results - and burst into tears,' he said. 'And I couldn't stop crying for three weeks. It was completely absurd.

'I'd go to a cafe and they'd say, 'You want skimmed milk or regular?' and I'd burst into tears. So I went to see shrinks then.'

He also joked about seeing a hypnotist but thinking he was 'tense as a toad' rather than relaxed.

'I'm totally miserable and self-conscious but because I'm English and polite I can't say that so I go, "Yes, I'm very relaxed,"' he admitted.

Appearing on the show alongside actress Bryce Dallas Howard, he also admitted to hiring a Ghostbuster after one of his kids claimed his house was haunted.

The actor said that one of his kids kept complaining about a mysterious young boy appearing in his house.

Hugh said that he first thought something was up when his son would stare into the corner of the house he was living in close to him in London.

'Then other people started seeing things - other kids would come and say, 'Who's that little boy over there?' revealed Hugh. 'It was completely out of control.

'So in the end - I'm a rational person, well educated, not an idiot - I find myself ringing a Ghostbuster. And it's so shaming. I had to - the poor little boy was terrified all night.'

He hired a woman named Wendy Mandy and said: 'She had all those sticks, and then her sticks went completely wild and she went, 'Oooh, it's so strong in here, I think I might throw up!'

'I think it was all boll*cks,' Hugh said. 'And she burnt about seven pounds of sage and banged a little drum and played an instrument and sang. And she said all the spirits are gone.'

When James asked if it solved the problem, Hugh admitted: 'I said to the boy the next morning, "Did you feel happier last night?" and he said, "No, there was a little boy at my window."

'So I think they've just got to move house now. Too haunted.

'Apparently all these ghosts are coming out of the ground because of all the building work in London,' he laughed, referring to 'the stupid basements.'

Burn her! When the Pete's Dragon star revealed she could foresee pregnancies, Hugh proclaimed her a witch

Poke: Corden teased Grant about Notting Hill, claiming he watches it every night

They had got onto the topic of psychics because Hugh's fellow guest Bryce insisted that from an early age she could correctly predict the gender of unborn babies.

She said that she even once drew a photo of a woman with two girls in her belly - months before the woman even fell pregnant… with twin girls.

'You're a witch,' Hugh joked of the Pete's Dragon star, adding: 'I don't want to be harsh, but people like you should be burned.'

But Hugh also admitted having previously sought the help of 'shrinks,' telling James: 'I went mad in 2007. I got massaged into madness.'

Hugh was promoting his new movie, Florence Foster Jenkins, that also co-stars Meryl Streep - and got teased by James who insisted he was 'really tight' with Meryl when they filmed Into The Woods together, telling Hugh: 'Yeah. Really really close.'

'I don't like the fact that you've worked with her as well. I thought I was on here to talk about how special it was - and it's not special at all if we've all done it,' Hugh complained.

When Bryce, 35, raised hand to say she hadn't worked with Meryl, Hugh quipped: 'Well thank God for that.'

While Hugh said he is 'unaccustomed to being in such good films,' Bryce admitted to being obsessed with his romantic classic Notting Hill - saying she would ask husband Seth Gabel to watch it every night.

'He was so compliant for the first seven years, y'know,' she joked. 'And now - this is actually true - we have a three-month moratorium between viewings, we need to take three months off. Not my choice!'

When James teased Hugh that he watches it 'every night,' Hugh joked: 'I've cut right back. But it's so lovely, isn't it.'

Bryce admitted on the show that she had never once touched a drop of alcohol since a school trip to Russia where a schoolmate shaved his head and then vomited all over her while drunk.

'But you're quite heavily into drugs, I understand,' Hugh joked, while they racked up when Bryce revealed her headmaster's name was 'Master Bates, for real.'

'Why would you become a teacher if that was your name?' James asked.

The men had a mutual love-fest that started with James telling Hugh: 'I'm just a guy standing in front of a guy asking him to love me.'

'I do love you, James. But I love you in a proper way,' Hugh replied, explaining: 'I think you get a lot of superficial love now. I love the inner you.'

As James pretended to wipe away tears - and the audience let out loud 'ahhhh's - Hugh promised to 'hold you when I come out there.'

'Don't you start something that you can't finish,' James joked.

James recalled them first meeting, in a party in London in the early hours, and how the star told him he seemed 'happy' and had a 'kind face,' adding: 'You preceded to tell me everything about your entire life.'

'I do that now,' Hugh admitted, saying he 'has to stop.

'It's really weird because I spent half my life campaigning for privacy - and the other half revealing everything about myself.'
