The 40-year-old actress took her style down a few notches as she emerged for a solo walk through SoHo in New York City on Friday.

Diane, who recently ended her 10-year romance with Dawson's Creek star Joshua Jackson, was dressed casually in ripped faded jeans with a striped short-sleeved shirt.

Diane seemed bent on her destination, her blonde hair whipping back in the summer breeze and tinted, tip-tilted shades concealing her eyes.

She wore a smart black leather bag hanging from one shoulder and she rested her hand on this convenient shelf as she continued on her way.
