The tenth anniversary special of The Hills shocked fans with revelations that several romances on the show were fake.

But Kristin Cavallari was a million miles away from the drama on Thursday as she enjoyed some quality family time.

The 29-year-old strolled through sunny LA with her father Dennis and two out of three of her young sons as they headed to Duff's Cakemix.

Kristin kept her look casual with high cut Daisy Duke's and a little black tank top.

With a simple gold bar necklace and matching earrings, the former Laguna Beach star kept her make up super simple with rosy pink lips and just a hint of blush.

Covering up with a khaki army jacket, she opted for white trainers to allow for plenty of running about after her little lads.

With her shoulder length blonde locks worn long and loose around her shoulders she made sure large black sunglasses protected her eyes from the afternoon glare.

With father Dennis going for an all navy look in polo shirt and shorts, he complemented his daughter's coat with a khaki pair of flip flops.

Son's Jaxon and Camden kept cool in short and T-shirts as they enjoyed the ride in their spacious double buggy.

Revelations earlier this week on the The Hills: That was Then, This is Now, left viewers shocked to discover some relationships were manufactured for the screen.

On the episode it was revealed that Lauren Conrad's romance with Kristen's ex Brody Jenner was in fact completely counterfeit.

Though she did concede she had a short crush on the son of transgender icon Caitlyn Jenner, Lauren added: 'We had zero chemistry. It always just felt forced.'

Kristen shares three young children with her American footballer husband Jay Cutler - Camden, three; Jaxon, two; and Saylor, eight months.
