  • Waissel's mother wants police to step in question star over 'hate' speech
  • Also claimed bisexuals were to blame for spreading Aids

The mother of Celebrity Big Brother star Katie Waissel has called for police to quiz disgraced Christopher Biggins over his alleged Nazi joke.

The entertainer, 67, was booted out of the CBB house by Channel 5 bosses on Friday after receiving three warnings over his controversial comments.

His first reprimand came on Monday when he made comments alluding to the Holocaust to Jewish singer Katie Waissel while housemates rowed in the bathroom.

The final straw came when he claimed that that Aids was 'a bisexual disease'.

Now Waissel's mother, Diana, has called for police to step and question the star over his 'hate' speech - and is adamant he should be banned from appearing on TV again.

She told The Mirror: 'He was a national treasure but now he’s not fit for TV. He should be banned – he’s a liability... If his comments are as bad as we’re led to believe, they constitute a hate crime – police should be called in to investigate.

'Our whole family have a proud Jewish heritage and are absolutely disgusted by Biggins.

'Katie’s great grandparents, Sidney and Katie, were in Auschwitz in the Holocaust. They survived, but what went on there is incomprehensible.'

Her comments come shortly after Biggins was ejected from the Channel 5 competition for allegedly making a Nazi joke.

Following the supposed matter, he was called to the diary room and given a formal warning for the incident.

When asked for his thoughts, the star forlornly said: 'I'm very sorry, and I'm very sad,' before being asked to leave immediately.

Media reports state that 'the joke is too insensitive to repeat,' while Channel 5 declined to make any further comment, refusing to deny that the joke was made.

Later, transcripts on the internet appeared to repeat the words of his comments, though CBB representatives made it clear that they were fake.

The star was booted out for his continuous use of offensive language, culminating in a conversation with Renee Graziano in which he blamed the spread of HIV on bisexuals.

Speaking in the bedroom on Saturday night's show, Biggins said: 'Gays had been really badly treated and suddenly there became a period where gay people were respected.

'And then a killer disease came that was attributed to homosexuals. I think it was a bisexual disease, if I'm honest.'

A few hours after the faux pas, Biggins admitted to making a number of serious gaffes. Speaking frankly while with Grant Bovey in the garden, he said: 'I’ve made three mistakes in here so I’ve been chastised. I’ve become very aware and careful.'

'What the government didn't realise is that there were bisexuals out there who were having sex with those people.

'They then brought it back to their families over here and in America. That's how it became a worldwide disease. Whoever investigated AIDS f***ked up big time.'

In an interview with The Sun on Sunday, Biggins defended his comments, explaining: 'Renee [Graziano] said she knew a CIA man who told her that the American government had come up with the virus in order to get rid of people in third world countries - I had also heard the rumour.'

Big Brother gathered the housemates on the sofas and informed them that he had been forcibly removed from the surveillance house and will not be returning.

'Then I said to her that there were a lot of bisexuals who went to these countries and had sex, and then took it back to their wives or lovers and gave them the virus.'

He added: 'That's what I've read and that's what I believe.'

The star added that he apologised to housemate Katie before he left the house for making an anti semitic joke, and claims she accepted his apology.

The star ruffled feathers earlier this week with further comments on bisexuality.

In a conversation with his housemates, the entertainer said: 'I think the worst type [of person on the sexuality spectrum]  is the bisexuals. It is people not wanting to admit they're gay… be honest, that's what you've got to be.'

A spokesperson for Channel 5 said: 'Big Brother does not tolerate language capable of causing widespread offence.'

Biggins has subsequently tweeted his followers a message of thanks for their support. On Saturday night, he wrote: 'I would like to thank all my Twitter supporters for their kindness and support, which I shall always wear. Love you all, mean it!!!!!!!'

MailOnline have contacted a representative for Christopher Biggins, but are yet to receive a response.
