She's never looked happier! Victoria Beckham can't wipe the smile off her face as she revels in the LA sunshine

She's known for her serious pout, but since returning to her beloved Los Angeles it seems Victoria Beckham just can't wipe the smile off her face.

The former Spice Girl was beaming from ear to ear in a sun-drenched picture posted by her best friend and hairdresser Ken Paves on Wednesday.

The 39-year-old looked fresh-faced and radiant in sunglasses, a black vest and crucifix necklace as she kicked back in a car after going on a hike with her close friend.

Paves posted the snap along with the caption: 'So glad to have you back! So much fun hiking and laughing in the LA sunshine with @VictoriaBeckham.'

The pair first met at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes wedding in 2006 and began working together when she moved to LA the following year with her family.

In his new style guide, You Are Beautiful, Paves describes the singer turned fashion designer as one of his 'dearest friends' and they regularly catch up during her trips back to the US.

The Beckham’s returned to London earlier this year when David signed a short-term contract with French club Paris Saint Germain following six-years in California with LA Galaxy.

But it's clear the mother-of-four misses the States and certainly looks at her happiest while in America.

Last month she shared posted a cheerful snap in front of the iconic Hollywood sign.

Still, she has hopes of expanding her fashion business back in London and is 'in talks' to opening her first standalone boutique in the city.

She is said to be considering a property in Mayfair, central London.

Victoria previously admitted she was impressed with the success of her fashion line and believes opening up a boutique in London will help expand her fashion empire even further.

She said: '[London] is where I want to have my first store. I'd like to do something that is really new, really fresh. Something a little bit conceptual but not too much.'

Victoria left her pop star career behind in the 1990s and entered the fashion industry in 2004, and she attempts to create designs which encourage women to feel confident.

She explained: 'A lot of thought goes into everything I design to make a women feel the best that she can feel.'
