He soared to international fame in the boxing flick Rocky back in 1976.

And 40 years later, Sylvester Stallone still looked every inch the Hollywood hunk as he headed out to lunch at Cafe Roma in Beverly Hills with pals on Saturday.

The actor, 70, looked incredibly suave in a crisp blue shirt and matching jeans as he made his way in to the eatery.

Clearly immersed in a phone call, the New York native teamed his look with statement red shoes.

And quite the male trend-setter, he matched his silver-rimmed shades to his slicked back locks.

It been a surprising year for Sly, who has an estimated net worth of $400 million, after he lost out on a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in Creed, despite being the odds-on favourite to win.

Creed, the spin-off and sequel to the Rocky film series, saw Sly reprise his role of Rocky Balboa, while his pal Michael Jordan portayed Adonis Creed, a character who abandons his stable white collar job to pursue a boxing career under Rocky's tutelage.

Things are going smoothly on the family front as well Sylvester, as he's been happily married to former model Jennifer Flavin since 1997.

The couple have two beautiful daughters together- Sistine, 18 and Scarlet Stallone, 14.

The Stallone clan are known for their love of pet pups, with Sly previously revealing he cleans up after his own dogs following the dismissal of all his staff.

He said: 'You’d be surprised how unglamorous, or normal, my life is. My cars get flat tyres, my dogs go to the bathroom on the carpet and my shower doesn’t always work.'

Despite hitting 70 last year the action-movie legend shows no sign of slowing down in his work, as the busy star has four projects lined up when he returns to Hollywood, including a role in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.
