The real deal! Trista Sutter is just an ordinary mom as she enjoys married life with Ryan... 13 years after meeting on the very first Bachelorette

Today, appearing on the Bachelor or Bachelorette shows is seen as a quick route to reality star fame.

But there was a time when contestants were genuinely looking for love.

And the original lovebirds from the very first Bachelorette series - Trista and Ryan Sutter - are still going strong, after 13 years of marriage and two children.

The pair left behind the Hollywood lifestyle to raise their family in Vail, Colorado, where they are a regular couple.

Seen this week Trista, the first Bachelorette, looked a far cry from the glamorous blonde millions of Americans will remember when she married her hunky firefighter Ryan 13 years ago.

The mom of two - who won the hearts of American TV views as the original face of the dating series - was spotted running errands in her home town just days after beaming 2016 Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher was pictured shopping for furniture in glamorous Beverley Hills with her chosen lover, Jordan Rogers.

Talking to Dailymail.com Trista, 43, revealed her husband Ryan is now working two jobs.

She explained: 'Life in kinda busy right now. Ryan has two full-time jobs and I have one major full-time job with my children plus lots of other stuff going on.'

Trista has commented on this year’s Bachelorette final on Twitter, writing: 'A beautiful couple with a beautiful future. Congratulations @JoelleFletcher & @JRodgers11 !! #Ilovelove #TheBachelorette.'

But instead of hanging out in a sun-kissed millionaire’s playground like JoJo, Trista spent her weekday lunchtime shopping at her rain-soaked local City Market supermarket on the outskirts of Vail, CO.

Unsurprisingly, no other shoppers recognized the diminutive reality star, who was dressed in baggy jeans, flip flops and an over-sized red wind cheater jacket with her blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail.

After shopping at the supermarket Trista headed to a local pharmacy before going home.

There was also no sign of Trista’s husband, Ryan, who she married in 2003 after picking him on The Bachelorette final.

Their California wedding shown on TV that December was watched by a record 26 million viewers.

Update your wardrobe with a classic by Stuart Weitzman

Jojo looked flawless as she stepped out in a turquoise dress that she paired flawlessly with bouncy hair and nude sandals.

She ensured that her legs were doing all the talking in a pair of ubiquitous Stuart Weitzman 'Nudist' sandals.

Working to elongate her legs, these stilettos give the blonde beauty some lift without taking away from her outfit. The delicate straps practically 'disappear' and fit in seamlessly with her all neutral color scheme.

It's no secret that these timeless heels are a great investment and their versatile appeal is what makes them well worth the $398 price tag.

So click right to stand tall like Kristin and buy a pair from Neiman Marcus. Or look below for lower priced options. We love the affordable ones at Charlotte Russe and ASOS.
