And apparently all the hard work is paying off, as Reese Witherspoon revealed when she stepped out for some shopping on Friday.

The 40-year-old Walk the Line actress showed off a pair of legs that would've been impressive for a woman half her age.

A pair of short white shorts and some massively tall white strappy platforms ensured the Legally Blonde star's lithe limbs were the focal point of her figure.

On top, Reese opted for an airy blue and white plaid shirt with short sleeves.

She accessorized with a woven straw tote, a pair of unique clear-frame shades and some moderately sized gold hoop earrings.

Her famous blonde tresses were pulled back and up into an informal bun, while she appeared quite fresh faced aside from some pale peach lipstick.
