He's a first class gent! Benedict Cumberbatch looks dapper as he jets into LAX... and treats airport staffmember to kiss on the cheek

He's had a whirlwind few months filming the next installment of Sherlock.

And now that filming has wrapped on season four of the popular show, Benedict Cumberbatch jetted straight into Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday for a well-deserved break.

Making his way through the busy terminal, the 40-year-old actor was looking charmingly suave in a black fedora that covered his raven-coloured locks.

Opting for a grey tweed blazer, Benedict stylishly layered it over a simple white polo tee as he teamed the look with a pair of slick Ray Ban Clubmaster sunglasses.

Amplifying his stylish display, the British star - who has son Christopher with his theatre director wife Sophie Hunter- donned a pair of navy chino's and tennis shoe inspired white trainers.

Getting out of the manic airport with ease, the Hollywood star cheerfully kissed a member of airport staff on the cheek after she escorted him to safely to his car.

Jet-setting aside, the handsome actor was spotted getting into character while shooting the BBC series Sherlock on a fishing boat in Cardiff, Wales in June.

The TV star recently opened up about the fourth installment of the drama earlier this month while at Comic-con in San Diego.

When asked how long the much-loved show could run for, Benedict admitted to Collider that have to see how season four 'lands'.

He said: 'We'll see how this series lands. It's been great fun to come back and do it. How it will continue in the future, who knows?'

'It's not just about what any of us want. It's about what’s actually right for the show, to be honest, and that has to be judged very carefully.'

'Think about the very limited but classic British output of certain shows, and there aren’t that many of them. It’s a painful thing to say, but maybe Series Four is it. Who knows? I don’t know.'
