It's been 18-months since they walked down the aisle together in a romantic Valentine's Day ceremony.

But Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter are very much still in the honeymoon phase of their marriage.

The pair enjoyed a sunny stroll through Los Angeles this week and they could barely keep their hands off each other.

Theatre producer Sophie nuzzled into her Sherlock star beau's neck as they waited to cross the street, before affectionately flinging her arm around his shoulder.

The pair looked like any other loved-up couple as they enjoyed some quality time together in the US, where he spends most of his time working.

Sophie looked sensationally chic in a flowing cream summer dress and sandals, while Benedict went for a laid-back look, in a t-shirt, jeans and a trilby.

The couple first met when starring opposite each other in Burlesque Fairytales in 2009, but only started dating in 2014.

They got married 18 months ago, but Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter look as loved up as ever.

The couple stepped out to do a spot of shopping in Los Angeles this week and they both donned coolly casual looks.

While Sophie opted for a flowing dress to no doubt keep her cool in the warm Hollywood sun, pairing it with thong lace up sandals, Benedict went even more laid-back with jeans, a striped tee and a pair of Superga trainers.

They announced their engagement in The Times later that same year. Benedict is believed to have flown to Edinburgh to ask her mother's permission for her daughter's hand in marriage before getting down on one knee.

The couple then tied the knot at a private ceremony on the Isle of Wight, surrounded by close friends and family.

Their fairytale romance was complete last June when they welcomed their first child, a son called Christopher.
